Goals that make you feel good

I think you're getting the two 3-1 wins over Birmingham mixed up. Byrne's goal was in the second match whichwas two seasons after Brady had left Roots Hall in tears.

Stanley C's 2 v Huddersfield away in the F A Cup and Brett Angell V the Hammers ........ 1-0 victory!!!!! totally unforgettable!!

Yeah correct, I have got them muddled. Ther atmos was still as hostile when Byrney scored but it was infact 2 years earlier when we beat them by the same score when we reduced Brady to tears! I believe that was when Jason Lee scored the "was it in, wasn't it in" header?

Today I would have to say Guttridge’s 86th minute winner on Saturday.
With the other results all going our way yet again, those 3 points mean we can almost stroll into the Championship

Yep - all of those are crackers.

Tes (for all that I moan about him) has scored two of my favourites:

* Our third at Layer Road in the LDV ("Simon Brown, Simon Brown, Simon Brooowwwwnnn")

* An 86th minute overhead winner at home to Luton in the cup.

Finally, as founder of DaLAS (David Lee Appreciation Society), I'll also nominate his goal in our 2-0 season opener against Brighton. I really thought it was the start of something special...

*sigh*

It was Matt - it's just taken a "few" years for that something special to reach it's peak through the coming of Sir Steve.

Exactly the two I would have put. Very happy memories....

But if not, his hattricks against City and on his debut.
Didnt know he had scored 46 already? is that including all comps? If so he could well get his fiftieth goal this season!!

Over the last 2 seasons that is I think.

Both goals on Saturday made me feel extra special. the first from a relief point of view - it was a game I was sure we would lose yet I was confident that if we could get one, we'd get two.

The second one was proving that point and securing the 3 points that saw us take such an immense stride towards the Championship.

Its an amazing record, especially someone in his first full season as a Pro. I wonder what the tw&t who was screaming abuse at Eastwood from the back of the East Black during the Bradford match has to say for himself now.

My personal favourite has to be the one from the play offs a few years ago by Blackpool I think it was vs Orient that kept the East London scum in the rightful home.

Was it you I saw crying on the TV Johny?

Anyone else recall this one?
