Goals that make you feel good

Just a simple one really - name the goal or goals that always make you smile.

Mine would be John Cornwell's 30 yard scorchio from the last kick of the game to beat Preston 3-2 in about 1990. I met a girl in the North Bank that night who 16 years later is marrying my mate and I'm best man. I lost her in the surge when we scored and he stole her off me 12 years later

.

In recent years Tes's overhead kick when we beat Luton and his strike against Chesterfield in the FA Cup at Saltergate would also be up there as fantastic moments in time with your mates.

Freddy's 30-yard belter at Bristol City always makes me smile...

Any of our 6, that's 6 goals against the Inbreds this season!

Juppys v Lincoln for me - I was in a total drunken stuper (ta kent shrimper

) but I'm stll feeling the euphoria now.

I cant believe that 11 months have passed since that day in Cardiff and (fingers crossed) it looks like we may be having a few more drunken stupors in the next few weeks!

Juppy's Vs Lincoln...

Sealed promotion when nobody believed we could do it having been on the backfoot the majority of the game....

For sheer class and importance then Freddy's goal yesterday is up there. Not only was it an amazing run and finish but I truly think that's where we clinched promotion. It brought us back into a game we were struggling with and by going on to win it we finally (in my opinion) put the nerves behind us and effectively clinched Championship football.

Yes thats the one, it was amazing.

Jay Smith vs Canvey, Freddy's 7.7 second debut goal, John Neilson's volley against Bolton in the 5-2 win, Drewe's goal against Col U and Paul Byrne's mazy run and shot against Birmingham.

The one that stands out more than any though would be Mike Marsh's last minute 25 yarder against Ipswich.

So many for me:

* both goals in the play-off final (I'll never forget the euphoria of those!)
* Stanley's 2 screamers against Bristol Rovers
* John Nielsen's 30 yard volley vs Bolton who were top and unbeaten - before we whooped 'em 5-2!!!
* Keith Jones at Notts County in the driving rain '93/'94
* Otto's at Barnsley in '94 - technically the most accurate Blues strike I've ever seen (but did he mean it?!)
* Marshy's vs Ipswich, last minute 25 yard volley winner mid 90's
* Benji's at Bury for obvious reasons
* Johnny Cornwell's superb last minute volley to beat Preston 3-2 in 1990 as well as his screamer at Cambridge 2 seasons later
* Paul Byrne's 30 yarder against Norwich in '95 as well as his solo effort against Birmingham at home (never forget that for the full house and hostile atmosphere on Fry's return - the day we made Karren Brady cry!)
* Ricky Otto's 25 yard volley at Derby into the top corner the final time we visited the Baseball Ground (winning 3-1)
* Crowny's 2 goals at Peterborough on the final day in 89/90 which gave us automatic promotion
* Jay's double at Canvey
* Many from Freddy, with special mentions for his 1st quickfire debut goal which I'll NEVER see beaten for speed I'm sure, aswell as numerous others (in truth too many to mention!!)
* And finally Stanley's long-range rocket at Oxford which gave us the impetus to go on and avoid relegation

Sorry to be predictable, but it was Juppy's at Cardiff. Time stood still for a moment then. Magic, pure magic. Also remember Jay's double against Canvey with a smile on my face.

Neil Campbell slotting the first of his brace against the orient in 99

that stunned silence round birdbrain road really makes me smile

and then for him to do it again, you could hear a pin drop

Andy Sussex against Luton Town c racking half volley from the edge of the area, last game of the season and the pressure was off, we were staying up...........
