Question Goalkeeping options

He's injured, and as we've never seen Masters play in a Blues shirt (to my knowledge) I think we're going to be on the look out for an emergency keeper loan.

saw masters at wakering but didn't have much to do so bit unfair to make judgment, hopefully Joyce will be back soon as I didn't think he looked to bad pre season

we can make one more loan at the moment as we only have 4 loanee's on our books the transfer window is open for loans but if we bring in a keeper that means no exprerienced prem central midfielder

That's not true. As far as I'm aware outside the realm of Football Manager we can sign as many loanees as we want..... we just can only have five in the match day squad.

that's what i thought. and i think joyce and/or masters are fit but tilly chose 5 outfield players cos he had so many available, so it says on the OS

Well, certainly think an emergency keeper will come in. Imo I think Darryl would come back for a month as he isnt playing at all for Palace, im confident he and palace will accept! However, with Mildy getting on the 'good' side of the fans after a great performance, will that take things back to square one??

Mildenhall, great performance today and exceptional save which led to the injury. Very well played!

We really need to move the goalkeeping debate on from Flahavan, injury or no injury to Mildenhall. As has been said elsewhere, Joyce, as our number 2 keeper, should be given a go. Only if the injury is serious and long term should we need to consider bringing in another keeper on loan. And I'm pretty certain that person would not be Darryl Flahavan.

But Joyce is said to be injured too.. So a keeper will be needed?!
Im not suggesting Flahavan should come back, I personally wouldnt want it, but if the staff did, I think it would happen  Is Masters injured?

Why on earth would Palace let their reserve keeper go out on loan? Just because he's not on their bench doesn't mean Warnock would let him go anywhere. Suppose their keeper falls ill on the day of a match?

That's what Flahavan has been signed for, as emergency cover.

Don't know about Masters, but in the interview after the game, Tilson said that Joyce had only been training for a couple of days following on from his injury. If worst comes to worst with Mildenhall, then Joyce will at least have had a full week of training ahead of our next game, and you can bet that it will be quite intensive if he is due to play.

Plus bringing Flahavan back would be the worst thing that the Club could do. Whether or not he's available he's not the long-term solution and the sooner a section of our support realises that and gets over him the better.

Er, read your post I think you did suggest that Flahavan should come back.

If Mildenhall & Joyce are both out then I guess we will go for a loan keeper, but I'd make a wager with anyone that it won't be Flahavan.

Assuming either Joyce or Masters are fit on saturday then one of them should play.

What is the point of having three keepers on the books if two of them we are saying are not good enough to start.
