Gilbert to leave?

Shame if he goes. I think he's a very good player.
But surely that "thinking" he's a good player can't be based on anything he's done for us? The main skill he's shown in his time with us is the ability to fall over! :p I don't think I've ever seen a more horizontal footballer, other than Sean Thornton, but he doesn't count as he laid down on purpose whereas Gilbert just collapsed in a heap every time he went near the ball.

I wouldn't disagree that he "must" be a decent player to have got to the level he has, but he's not shown much defensive ability in his time with us. Yes he's quick & yes he's ok going forward but IMO that's naff all to do with being a proper full back. Which may be what Deano told him yesterday! :)

i also think he is a very good player if played the right way gilbert is a very good attacking full back - as we see against us last season at the hall while playing for cardiff!

he will never make the arsenal grade. and us sending him back early from loan maybe stops arsenal sending ne more youngsters down!

another non-league striker with a good goal tally... lets give macdonald a bit of a chance before we sign someone else

As he is 6ft 2in sounds like he would be different type of player to MacDonald so not necessarily competing for same place in side

Constable spent last season at Walsall having been signed from I think Chippenham Town. He scored a few League goals before being released.

I too would like to see Macdonald given a chance to play alongside Clarke but guess he will have to wait for the opportunity. He hasn't had a lot of luck with some niggling injuries and more recently a virus.

Don't think Tilly has room for any more strikers with potential.

Heard a bit about him before, i think thats an interesting story and one i will certainly keep an eye on. I think Tilly could get one more in, i think we may see some movement away from the club soon.
