Yea but we know none of the East Blacks can see as far as the pitch. Still, not knocking Care in the Community if they're prepared to offer you a lift there and back each game. :finger:

Sorry but that deserves a small amount of neg rep ORM. :hilarious: :guns:

Out of interest what was the concencus on his performance in the Mini Blues enclosure then ? :p And do you really get in for free ?

Seriously though can you honestly name a weaker performance on saturday over 90 minutes ? Did anyone else on the pitch worry you as much ?
Dont get me wrong. We all want the kid to do well for us and help us win games. It was just a perception. Rewind to the Vitesse Arnhem friendly and he was possibly one of the best performing players on the pitch.

Ummm thanks Blue S :p The view from the executive West Vs is that he is young, still coming to terms with being farmed out twice but has plenty of promise that needs harnessing by those more experienced around him and a bit of patience by the fans. I'm also a fan of Hunt and Francis and I'm sure their opportunities will come again.

For me Peter Clarke was just as much of a liability on Saturday which is worrying bearing in mind how poor Gillingham were.

Gilbert is a good player but as you say is young and is prone to errors etc and as I said above if he was our player I would accomodate them knowing he was developing. As he is a loanee Id be more inclined to use Francis at the moment.

I was surprised that Francis did not make the team after his performance against Watford. He was solid throughout and looked composed on the ball. I am sure that Gilbert has potential but I think Francis is the better player at the moment and deserves to be playing if he is fit. That said, competition for places may raise the standard of both players.

I find Lewis Hunt difficult to fathom. His inclusion in the team does not quicken the pulse and yet he continually shows an assurance which surprises me. I probably fail to give him his due and make a mental note to give credit where credit is due next time- only to fall into the same trap when next he is on the team sheet. Perhaps it is because he can appear lazy or lethargic at times. I am working on it however and will endeavour to give proper regard to a player who can be largely and undeservedly unsung but who contributes greatly to the team whenever he plays.
