You've undersold them there! Definitely Skins top half and Bermuda's and flip flops bottom half. Us southern softies will be taking Bovril via IV23 degrees C at Gateshead yesterday, but a maximum of 12 degrees forecast for Monday. I'm a bit worried about remaining incognito among the Gateshead fans now - they'll be wearing their light cotton sweaters while I'll be in my duffle coat.......
No he only joined us last summer, the only one of the above he played with at Colchester is Tom Hopper.Did Good Life play in the same squad at C*l Ewe as Nouble ? And Hannant ?
Bonne, Hopper too?
I don't know if you agree Tommy, but I feel like those mistakes have been eradicated from his game since going back to a back 3.He is a no nonsense defender who chips in with goals.
Good addition to the squad.
He has a few mistakes in him, but who doesn't at this level.
Jeez.... I wish you hadn't said that.FWIW think we'll get the point we need from this game to make the play -offs.

Additionally, the absence of Ralph was huge. Goodliffe had his worst game at Boston but we were playing with a back 4 with no Ralph and Gubbins playing as a left back. It meant he had no protection on the left-hand side, as Ralph is normally tucked in when we play a back 3, and all they had to do was put it over the top and he was in a foot race with the striker. Felt really sorry for him when that happend.
It's absolutely no coincidence that he has looked so much better in the center of a back 3, with Ralph and Taylor either side of him. It's meant that he's got protection either side of him and has enabled him to just defend his box. Having him run out into the channel areas was suicide.
Yes that's kind of what I meant when referencing Gubbins and Ralph, I just should have elaborated.Good post.
I’d go further though and say it’s not just about him having protection alongside him but that protection having pace.
You need to balance out players’ weaknesses. Goodliffe isn’t quick so he’s needs pace alongside him. Taylor isn’t strong in the air so he needs a player like Goodliffe alongside him.
We need a player like Goodliffe for when we come up against physical sides.
FWIW think we'll get the point we need from this game to make the play -offs.
I’ve just sent my tickets backJeez.... I wish you hadn't said that.

You're absolutely bang on. Taylor has that brilliant reading of the game and recovery tackles and Ralph has that pace. They both contribute to allowing Goodliffe to just defend. It's why I'm less worried about Nouble with Goodliffe in there.
Ha ha, possibly not for much longer. Currently UB40Do you live in Hong Kong ORM, cos you've kept that quiet over the years.
