Gary Hooper

Hopper was in his Chelsea tractor with personal plate ending HOP straight after the game. Think it was a BMW though.

To be fair, it wouldnt surprise me.

His 31, playing for a top half championship side, his contract expires in August and has only made 5 appearences for them this season (none of which have been for a full 90 minutes).

Wellington Pheonix seem pleased..

"He is the first and only player ever to have scored in the Premier League, Championship, League One, League Two, FA Cup, League Cup, Football League Trophy, FA Trophy, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, Scottish Cup, Scottish League Cup and the Scottish Premier League."
IIRC there is a Perth Glory on here, his first game will be against them.....

To be fair thats a pretty impressive scoring CV! Surely he must have also scored in the National League / Conference?

GH came on as a substitute in the 75 minute of yesterdays game against Perth

Looked pretty sharp and won a penalty in the 90 min although Wellington lost 2-1.

He could be a good signing for the Pheonix

Are Wellington now playing all their home games at that rounded stadium near the ferry-port or are they still nomadic, playing all over NZ,both islands?

Majority of the games are at the "cake tin" in Wellington.

They may play some at other venues depending on some cricket games or rugby sevens
