Funniest Comedians

I also like heading to the comedy clubs in London and watching a show with new comedians you haven't yet seen on the tv. A few I've seen have made it to Live at the Apollo on the BBC
Just to point out, Southend has a very healthy comedy scene. The Joker Club as others have mentioned on here will often put on a decent show. There is also a weekly new material night every Sunday at The Alex which often gets the best up and coming, and fairly regularly some proper TV/big on social media names, trying out new material.

There are other, 'smaller' nights as well in recent years that are showcasing a fairly deep pool of new local talent that are worth looking out for.

So you don't necessarily have to head into London to get your live fix, although if you do, The Bob Murray and Top Secret Comedy Club are both excellent!

Is the Bob Murray any relation to the Bill Murray pub?

I was in their a few weeks ago to see Andrew Lawrence. Top show. No warm up or compare. Came on to a riotous welcome and got straight on with ripping into all things woke.

He is on in Billericay in September for those that have a real sense of humour.
