A silly question, but why don't the club provide more support for the ladies team?

I think they did until a while ago. Then I think there were a few 'problems' and the ladies team was disbanded and as we can see a new team created. I'm not quite sure what went on, does anyone on here know the full story?

It will be all down to money as to why the club wont seem interested. Nothing to do with anything else I am sure.
I suggest you contact local large companies in the Southend area. I know people arent fans but RBS have just given up sponsorship of the Family section at Roots Hall, Tesco, Abbey, etc I am sure might be able to help out. Essex Ford are also into sponsorship of the club. You might not get all you are after but you need to go and talk to these companies and see what they say. If they say no, then keep going and asking until someone says yes.
