FRUCK ME I'm 40 !

* ORM *

Still Loves Emma Bunton. Roy McDonough is God!
But I'm determined not to let it get to me. I don't tend to celebrate birthday's and today is no exception (call me a miserable old git but it is tradition

).

However after spending 8 weeks with my head up deeply up my arse feeling sorry for myself since being made redundant I'm fighting back today and determined to come out with all guns blazing.

On the agenda by the end of the month

1) Get down to 12-1/2 stone - 3/4 of a stone to lose - that'll be very easy to achieve - that's the exact weight I was when I lost my job
2) Get a job - even if it's just a temping job on sh!t money
and
3) ...............

Well I've actually achieved 3) already this afternoon but I'll be saving that little surprise for later on this week.

Oh and please spare a couple of minutes for the families of the 11/9 (note the proper English version

) victims today. I can't believe it has been 5 years already.

sparing a thought for them! what news that was to go home to on your birthday!

happy 40th mate,

hope you dont suffer this mid life crisis malarki! some would argue with your crazy posts u are going through it but u add value to this site.

true legend!

sparing a thought for the victims of 11/9 and also to us shrimperzoners who have to put up with the fact your surprise later in the week will no doubt have us reeling!

Love it... legend...

many happy returns of the day mate! xxx

Ahh! all becomes clear. I thought your sheer grumpiness was just down to your persona. Now I know it's because you've hit the BIG 40 I'll be sure to take that into consideration in future

Cheers all - I posted this in a really positive mood just before going to bed and I woke up feeling just as positive and it's turned into an awesome day today.

a) Every pressie was an SUFC goodie, shirt, sweatshirt, mug, teddy, mouse, mousemat, keyring etc
b) As I was speaking to mummy wummy a call came through for an interview tomorrow - for a position I can do with my eyes shut - even if I don't get it that's still good news in my books
c) I worked my nuts off for an hour down the gym earlier today, followed by a lovely nap in the jacuzzi
d) I'm gonna be tempting fate for the interview by stuffing a chicken jalfrezi down my neck in a couple of hours time

Happy birthday mate.

It's surprising how far positivity gets you.

Hmm, that read worryingly like the line off of a motivational poster.
