Remember that we have been tied to the wage capping for the last couple of seasons; we can only use 60% of annual turnover for wages.

This "wonderful little club" has been in trouble for at least twenty of the thirty years that I have been watching the Shrimpers. You kinda get used to it ...

Sorry for speaking a dirty word! But remember they helped in the rise of Fredy, surely a lil redemption....just a lil lil bit. Still hate them though!

Nope! Didn't I hear that they pinched him off our Youth setup? I'm giving the Spamsters nothing!

Take it:

a) you don't have an electronic copy

and

b) you're not prepared to type them up for me.
Nope. But we're an hour or so south of Valencia; Ryanair fly there too.

Seriously :

a) no

b) I could. But it will take some time. Perhaps it might be better to speak to someone in the UK ...
Yeah, was a bit of a long shot/joke.

It's a nice thought that you imply you may have done it were they a few pages shorter

On the subject of wages -vs- turnover, is this year's wage structure based on last year's turnover? otherwise, you could say "how long's a piece of string"!

The club is certainly running better than under the previous ownership, although it was saved from oblivion by Vic Jobson, so I have to agree that the club has had a tumultuous existance.

New beginnings come May? here's hoping!

Yeah actually i agree, give them nothing! Love to see them stay where they are! Their a championship team, championship manager, with a premiership ground, hope they continue to slide!

Good point. I don't know what reference they would use. The last accounts available are those for the year ending 31 July 2003. If we went by those figures, the turnover was £2,194,162, which would equate to just over £1.3 million available for wages?

WS

BTW - Wages for year ending 31 July 2003 were around the £1.6 million mark ...

I heard Thomson financial were good payers.

Does anybody actually know how we did in the last financial year? Bearing in mind we went to Cardiff, and appeared on SKY twice we must have done pretty well.

The 02/03 & 03/04 seasons were pretty similar with regards to turnover from league games I suspect, but with TV appearances (Canvey & LDV Final), we would certainly have been around £500k up including the preliminary rounds of the LDV.

When is the financial report for last year going to be released?! Surely we should have been due one in July 2004, or am i wrong in thinking that?!
