Freddy's Best Moments

His goal against Oxford when he ran across the pitch beating 3 or 4 players and then he stopped in the box turned and just hammered it into the top corner, brilliant goal!

His 30 yarder at Bristol City, I remember literally the moment I said "hit it" he hit it and boy did he hit it!

His two goals at Swansea both times he left a defender on their **** and the finishing was just class and obviously those two goals took us up.

Barnsley away his second goal an absolute beaut from outside the area, there seemed no danger when he received the ball with about 3 or 4 defenders in front of him when with minimal back swing he nailed it into the top corner!

I will be gutted when he leaves but will wish him all the best!

Gotta be the United goal for me simply for pure shock value (I don't think anyone could really believe it!!), closely followed by the 2 at Swansea - both magnificent finishes and vitally important as it turned out.

There's so many though, the Southampton goal last season was special, the two at home to Hartlepool were superb, the one at Bristol City, the free-kick at Saltergate, the solo efforts against Blackpool both home and away, the rocket against Scunny, the volley at Cheltenham, the long-range strike at Barnsley, the debut header after 7 secs!

But I have to also mention the play-off final goal - anyone could have buried it but without that who knows what would have happened. We may not have won the final and 90% of all these other Freddy moments of genius may not have happened, he could well have been doing it for somebody else......

Been posted before but let's enjoy it again:

Good luck Fred.

That video has depressed me a little.

As for my favourite Freddy moment I think it has to be the Man United goal just ahead of the goals against Swansea and Lincoln. His performance at Swansea was probably the best single performance I've seen from an outfield Southend player, he looked like a man determined to play in the Championship that day.

I still say the goal from literally the corner flag V Hartlepool. I will never know how he managed that.

That goal gets all the attention but his other that day was a cracker too. A left foot half-volley from 20 yards which was past the keeper before he could move. Stunning strike.

For mr the one that stands out most is his home debut against swansea, what a way to say hello to the fans a goal in 7.7 secounds and a hat-trick truly memorable, but then theres the united goal, and to consider that apparently in training his FK's go high wide and not very hansome, has been some great goals along the way though, and hopefully he wont leave but i think im resigned to thinking he will:(

Soooooo Gutted to be losing our best player... it feels like losing a best mate .....

Massive loss to us the fans and Southend United FC

How will we replace him next season ??

shame theres only one video showing freddy's goals. I dont think any of his goals from L2 are on there. Some youtube expert put some more vids of his goals up lol!!

The video on my myspace has all his best moments on video.

I will never forget the swansea goals, that hartlepool finish from the corner flag put a smile on my face, his hat tricks against swansea and bristol..

An under rated one but that one in the league cup that he blistered into the bottomright corner, think it was against brighton, never seen such a fast paced shot.

Of course the man united free kick.

I dont think any of us will ever forget this lad. I just hope he doesnt end up at a average championship side.
