As AD said, I'm certain that Stan would view Southend United as a last resort.
Although I tend to agree with you, it does completely depend on Stan's desire to make it back or whether it's just a publicity stunt. Remember, he was prepared to take on the managers job when SUFC bottom of the football league. I'm doubtful whether there are any Prem Clubs that would take the risk.

SUFC fans would give him the commitment and support he would need to make it back, when other clubs just might not give him the time. However, I am still not convinced even if Stan wanted it to happen, that Tilly would too.

Until we lost a game then started booing him and demanding him dropped ...

Stan obviously is a legend here but if he came and had a bad game or two I dont think it would be too long before those memories evaporated and he would start getting stick.

Not many teams would take the chance & if you've read Tillys comments, it would appear he would go for it if Stan is fit. Where better for him to go, than a place he's loved & would be a bit more understanding if he's a bit rusty?
So you think the average fickle Southend fan will be prepared to give him time to get match fit whilst we're fighting what is likely to be a relegation battle?

I very much doubt it myself.

I thought at the start of the season that if Freddy scored ten by Christmas then we would have to fight very hard to keep him.

Given that he's scored plenty of goals in a team struggling with creativity, I would be gobsmacked if he didn't leave in January. It would seemingly suit every party except for fans that enjoy watching him.

Sorry to be negative in this way but he just looks too good to be playing this level of football. I would expect at least one desperate Prem team to be interested at Christmas.

Am I the only one who thinks this Collymore return to football is laughable? He's done feck all for all these years and he thinks he can just stroll back into it?

We've got rid of one waster with baggage, we're not gonna get another one.
