Freddy for Wales

Then we can compare how he plays with them and how hes playing with us to really compare if he wants to be here or not! :D

Nah, seriously, if he has the chance, go for it.

Edit: "We are now chasing up the relevant paperwork and if he is available for us then of course he will come into consideration and manager John Toshack will be down to watch him play."

Well there you go, won't make it to the Welsh squad.

if he can turn out for Wales than I say go for it, he wont get near the England squad so coudl be a good opportunity for him.

If Jermaine Easter can get a cap while playing for Wycombe in League Two, surely Freddy can get one....

:)

I've seen a few people with Eastwood 23 on an England shirt at Roots Hall.

They wont be happy will they.

I hate this. A crappy third world nation calls up Champioship striker shocker.

I would like to see a scheme brought in where all players at age 8 are made to state there nationality and this cannot be changed. World football has become a joke really.

I have a welsh grandmother....I think, my mum was born in Scotland and now I live in Japan so I could play for England, Scotland, Wales and maybe one day for Japan.

However, I would not sell my soul to any of these other countries. I am English and would only ever consider playing for England as this is where I was born and brought up.

I think it totally sucks when average players sell out and play for an inferior country just to get ineternational football. I hope Freddy doesn't play for Wales.

I bet, never in a million years, he considers himself welsh. International representation should be about the pride of playing for your national team and nothing else.

Good luck to him. He's not going to get into the England squad no matter how lamentable the current team is. It'll only improve his game, and thats a massive bonus if he stays with us.

Could he even point to Wales on a map? (I'm being serious!)

:minger: :fart:

If David McNugget can get a game for England then it's worth Freddie holding out for a few months - afterall McClown is getting a bit desperate.

Nuggent was one of the best players out there IMO.
I'm sure an England Football league team would tear England current team apart.
Mind you, the current Welsh team (minus Freddy) could take England apart at the moment!

if freddy gets a game in june and scores then we would be in for some serious cash!

The trouble is a large number of our players (ie English) dont play like they give a t)ss about the national team even though they were born here. Just the modern culture of footballers unfortunately.
