Freddy Eastwood

Eastwood has been found out.... Fairly one-dimensional... Has a less than admirable attitude.... Not being centre of attention doesnt help this, and to be fair isnt being played as we played him.. Can only see him dropping back to league 1. Coventry fans cant stand him. I would rather have what we got already than take him back. He had his moment

That's contrary to what I Coventry fan I know on another forum told me this afternoon when I asked about Eastwood's form:

"Freddy's been working his balls off on the pitch and in training (according to Coleman), but unfortunately he looks traumatised every time he's in front of goal, he's either hanging onto the ball too long or snatching at chances, he's desperate for a goal and it's showing. He seemed to turn up here a broken man and has had a constant arm of reassurance around him ever since from not only the manager but the fans which says quite a bit about how much he's liked here because we aren't shy when it comes to turning on our own players if they aren't putting in the effort. I'm quite confident the goals will come for him at some point, possibly not until next season but think they will come and he deserves them."

Sounds like it's a confidence issue with Fred at the moment.

I guess you could argue that after Collymore left us his prolific scoring ability was never realised like so many thought it would be and he struggled to settle in every team he moved to

Collymore was immense at Nottm Forest, did'nt they finish highly after promotion.

He also did well at Liverpool, unfortunatley the Villa move killed his career somewhat!

Coventry boss Chris Coleman revealed several members of his team suffered bouts of food poisoning before their 2-2 draw FA Cup fifth-round draw with Blackburn on Saturday. "Freddy Eastwood was sick four times, Kieren Westwood was sick a couple of times and couldn't do the warm-up," said the Welshman. (The Sun)

The sun.. Wouldnt believe a word of what they said, whether its true or not!

exactly why my cov-STH friend has said. they don't want to get rid of him, they know he is quality and his is putting in the work and effort... he is just really low on confidence and really isn't himself. He also has very little ball to work with and apparently is a better passer than most of their midfield, which sees him playing very deep
