Saying that,we were screaming at Tilly to get him off up at Chesterfield that time,a corner gets played in and there is the old Goat nodding it home!

To put this into perspective, if we sign Leon still he will be on at least £4k a week. :eek:

£10k a week was the figure I was told. We were paying him £2.5k a week when he left us. I would suggest those figures and the fact that he would earn more at any given Championship club befitting an international player sadly rule out his return.....

I don't know... I can recall several games when Goater got a lot of stick in the middle of that season for being too old/unfit/rubbish culminating in some vile abuse flung in his direction at Griffin Park on Valentines Day. Not a pleasant night, that one.

There was a small but vocal minority on SZ who could never understand what the Goat brought to the team and thought that signing him was more proof that Tilson wasn't up to the job.
