Ive just been told by a mate of mine that Freddy is coming back to us. When i asked him how he know that apprantly it was in a newspaper and that is the reason Leon has gone back to Sheffield.

IS the any truth in this?
 
It was suggested in the NOTW on sunday and there's a large thread on the next page about it.

would he be welcomed by the team though....wasn't there a falling out last season over his superstar antics??

NOT ACCORDING TO A VERY GOOD PERSON IVE BEEN IN CONTACT WITH BUT YOU NEVVER KNOW.
 
I must say if i was one of the players i wouldnt welcome him back. After saying in the paper that he wants to move on to bigger and better thinks and that personally id rather him not come back, but like you say a stricker who can score goals, something we lack in at the moment
 
He's on far more of a wage than was reported on here I've found out. The figure sort of ended any hope I had of us getting him on loan! Who knows what Wolves are thinking though.
 
According to a number of people i've spoken to, we only signed Leon Clarke because Francis Jeffers knocked us back. Clarke is not coming back and i'm intrigued to see whether Tilson is looking at players of Jeffers quality once more. This would indicate to me that big wages are available and that the chairman will back Tilson all the way. If there is a chance that Freddy could come back i'm in no doubt they would pull out all the stops to get him. Whether there is a chance or not, we'll find out over the next month in my opinion.
 
i dont think i would like to have him back and before you criticise my post hear me out. He would come back get us a few goals put in a few good performances and once again make sure other teams in higher positions notice him so he is snapped up and use us as a stepping stone once again as soon as he knows he has got interest in him he will be the player he was after he scored the goal against Man United, Lazy and not bothered of the results being picked up by his team and just waiting for his chance to hit the big time again

Add a few grand to that. From Tilly's mouth to someone I have contact with, £14k a week to make him one of Wolves top top earners. I was astonished.

No wonder Freddy chose them over Charlton.
 
Well as you we have signed someone all ready, Damean Scannell or someone from yet another non-league side, to be honest he will be like another mitchell cole in my eyes, have a good first season then get sold on, but with the stricker situatuion we need someone who can score goals fast. Was at the game today and must say we never looked like scoring a goal. I think its worth giving a few youth players a taste to see what they can do.
