If Freddy gaining this months award wasn't embarassing enough, if it were given to Billy next month it would just make a mockery of the award. Surely Freddy doesn't actualy think he deserves the award this month?

I don't believe you lot, moaning because we've won something! Did a panel not have to come up with a shortlist and the stats at the time had Freddy as scoring something like
5 goals in eight matches, throw in a couple of assists and with little help from his fellow forwards. Yes, terrible form, confiscate the award immediately.

We vote for this award for the benefit of SUFC, in the same way that 99% of the people who vote are voting for their own club's player. This month we were better organised than them. Rejoice, don't carp!

No shortlist. Its a public vote between just about every player in the division.

I'm not moaning. I just think that giving someone the award who blatantly does not deserved the award is slightly pointless. I voted for Freddy this month and now feel slightly embarassed that he actually won, because he didn't deserve to. It just takes the shine off winning the award. I totally agree that Freddy should have won it many times last season but thats gone now, theres nothing we can do about it. The fact is that by making him win the award this time round, theres fans of other clubs out there feeling just like we were last season when Freddy didn't win it.
I think you do a fine job rounding the troops to vote and by all means continue to do so, but I think from now on I will think twice on voting if I truly think a player is undeserved which so far this season, is true.

Every time I thin about doing it, I remember that I need to get application forms done before I can contemplate doing it.

Currently about three match weeks behind I think. In theory, that's about 4.5 hours work.

Paynter winning would be be pointless. If anything it would put a lot of people off of voting in the future, because whats the point if it means nothing?

When one of our lads deserves it then I'm all for campaigning and getting people involved in helping them to get the recognition that they deserve. All this does is devalue the award.

For the record, I'm glad that Eastwood got it this month.
