Hee hee another freddy thread.......my two pennys worth......ive seen most home games since the mid 80s and over 60 grounds ticked off so I cant comment on players I havent seen....lets say my first heroes were paul clark.....richard cadette....to give you an idea. During my time following this crazy football club we have had in my opinion had some great talent through the Hall. In my opinion Freddy Eastwood should take his place among the elite legends of SUFC.....without this one player the tilly era would just not be the amazing days they were. Back to back promotions.....with freddy often single handedly doing the biz...creating so many memories....over and over. Those two goals at swansea for promotion. ...just wow.
Yeah it went tp his head post Man u......but no freddy. ....no Man u.....yeah he never really went on and developed how he should have but I dont care what he done for any other club. Aside from stan collymore no single player has had such an effect on our teams fortunes.....surely that can not be argued. Name a stand after him......sod that I named my manhood after him.

Really?? Does it limp a bit???

Too many players that we could name the Toilet Block after but i think i'll settle for the Illustrious Leader 'Throne' Room

In all my time, Freddy is the most exciting player Ive seen, but for me stands get named after players who put in many years of service, not just the best players. Freddy gave us 3 years which puts him ahead of Collymore in my book (who was the better player), but then there are players who played far more games for us.

Steve Tilson would be more deserving than Eastwood.

I'd have to agree, and that's in no way a slur on Freddy as he gave us so many wonderful memories and deserves to be considered a Blues legend.

No argument from me on that front, 8 years from tilly as a player, never gave anything less than 100% in a southend shirt, then went on to be our most successful manager. 2 promotions, 2 ldv finals, league one play off appearance and that Man u game, nearly forgot drawing with chelski at the bridge......I did name a cat Tilly

I think you've got to do some serious service to get a stand named after you. Chris Powell, maybe. (Has anyone got a picture of themselves with him, by the way?) Steve Tilson, certainly. Eastwood can have a bar or a burger kiosk. Or maybe an 'entrance', like the disturbingly named 'Nigel Spackman Entrance' at Stamford Bridge.

Maybe at the new stadium ( sarcastic laughter ) we could push some of the earth + rubble up into a pile at one of the empty ends and it call it the frankie banks bank

Tilson with 2 promotions yet also 2 relegations not to mention in my view most of it mastermind by Paul brush!

I would put him on par with Eastwood

Anyone who posts any comments regarding Freddy's heritage will feel our wrath.

No more please guys....
