I'd imagine Coventry were still looking to get more of Eastwood's wages paid then than we wanted/were able to pay.

I said when they told him to get a new Club at the start of the season that their bargaining position would fall and fall over time. This is the last afternoon they can get rid and if the best offer on the table is for us to pay 5% or 10% of his wages for the rest of the season then they'd be mad not to take it if they're not going to play him.

He's only been a sub four times this season for Coventry. Unbelievably, they only use him in midfield, where basically he is useless and considered far too lazy. So not only is he coming back to his spiritual home, but also coming back to play in his proper and only sensible position. This really could relight our season and relight his career as a striker. Yes, it's a bit of a gamble, but a great one that will put plenty of bums on seats.

After all, if he was 100% fit and playing great, he wouldn't be loaned out to us.
