Franchise Teams

I was a bit meh about the franchises at first but I'm warming to it a bit now. Got a high competent YP who I'm training and picked up a one week pop respectable for £12k when I've seen similar players going for 6 figures. Also picked up a 27yo respectable/proficient bat with superb leadership for £30k, a good captain makes a big difference. I'm resisting the urge to fill my team with 35yo+ players as it's a lot of wages for a short term fix - people will start feeling the wage bite when the £50k subsidy disappears! You get plenty of members at the start anyway so it's not essential to go flying up the leagues. Have expanded the stadium to 12k though as the starting stadium sells out pretty quickly.

I am not buying anyone until i reach £1.6mil, but have already expanded the stadium twice due to rapidly increasing members. I imagine the 50k disapears next week, but i am now making £50k+ a week through interest and sponosrship which was my plan.
Player wise i have 3 18 year olds coming along nicely, who have all had a pop or two.
league wise i should finish 1st or 2nd in my OD due to the amount of bots, and 2nd or 3rd in my BT20.

I've filled my team out with 17yo (hopefully high) mediocres with respectable stamina signed for £1k.

(Had to go a bit higher for a couple, like my keeper and all-rounder).

I'm single netting them, except for a floating stamina net.

First week of franchise without £50k help. Who is struggling?

i made £20,357 in sponsors and £30,803 in interest, so am in profit on basic costs, everything else is a bonus!

Lots of losses here! £35,750 in staff and £20,000 on the YA. Can't not invest in the YA, a lucky pull can net you 7 figures as you know.....

Not sure how I'm going to get to £1.6m, will have to hope for lots of wins and plenty of gates in my expanded ground.

Pah, you're all rubbish #2811 :winking:

Got 816k in the bank at the moment, and we're up to 796 members. We're investing 20k pw in the Acadamy, and have expanded the ground to 10k. Not sure we'll need to expand further, as we're not wiining many games due to the double promotion last season.

Trainee wise, we could do with an A/R, but they're tough to come by. Hoping to pick one up next week in the last of the YP sell-off's All other trainees are at least Comp / Med with Med Stamina

World Rankings are massively skewed at the moment as they haven't got the balance right between FC and non-FC countries.

We're #5,667 reflects our lowly finishes last season. 11 bots in my BT20 league this season!

No FC for me so...

Team Ranking: #374 in Papua New Guinea
#19454 in the World

785 members and 12744 ground size with £713k in the bank. Not doing any ITS until i reach £1.6mil. Currently training 3 players.

Jeez 800K in the bank is frightening. I'll still reiterate the value of this place though. Neither of my SZ teams would be doing well. In fact my guess is a few of is would have given up long before now

Finances over the £1m mark after yesterday's Cup game, and with a home FC game to come this week, we shoul be close to 1.2m by the end of the week.

Won both my FC and OD games last week. Have BOT's in both formats this week, away in FC and home in OD. Expansion to 15k of my stadium will be ready in time for Friday's game, and with 856 members now, we should get close to filling it.

1,044,537 in the bank at the moment, so should be close to 1.2m by the end of the week. All looking good so far.

I wish you could look back at finances a bit further than 2 weeks, would be good to be able to track rises in Income/Expense a bit futher back.

Now up to £842k (gave in to temptation and purchased a player), with outgoings of £74,499 a week. Covering that nicely, still, with gate reciepts being my profit for the week.

Annoyingly out of the cup, but would defo have gone out this week anyway, as is the last 16, and i dont think any of the teams are outside the top 30 in PNG!

I'm sad enough to have my weekly finances in an excel spreadsheet going back seasons! It's such a financial game you have to, gives me a good idea of what sort of wages I can afford to spend each season.

Are there any teams outside the top 30 in PNG?

Looks like the Franchise are going to notch a win today, and rise to the heady heights of 3rd in FC VI

Etwaroo* 16 (36 balls)
Rao 3 (3 balls)
Last Wicket: Lesporis lbw b. Breese 19 (FOW: 29/1)

Franchise still going well (apart from in BT20 :hilarious:)

Members now up to 893, and we'll break through the 900 mark later this week.

Finances up to 1,172t, and we now only need to take 20k pw in gate receipts to break even.

Should soon be able to start investing in some better players...
