I dont recall any thing at the time that said we would have had a smaller stadium rejected and Im sure 15k or 16k would have been accepted, although Id have been disappointed with that. I thought 18k would have been a good size with plenty of room for peaks, but if building a 22k is no different then makes little difference.
Im sure Ron did work out a figure, but calculations based on Championship football are all well and good when we have been in lower leagues for the majority of our existence.
All that said it still dismisses the claims others make about him being in it solely for the money, he wouldnt be building a stadium for an opimistic future in the Championship if all he wanted was profit.
