Forget Colu we are playing the Real Scum tomorrow

Lets not forget how Milton Keynes came to get a Football League club. It was stolen from Wimbledon. What happened to Wimbledon is one of the most disgraceful incidents in the history of the Football League. The Football league did nothing to stop the move and infact they encouraged it.

I know a few Blues fans who refuse out of principal not to go to Milton Keynes. I am going tomorrow but hope that as well as getting behind the Blues we remind MK Dons that it is not their football club.

Above all lets get the 3 points to put us a step closer to promotion and MK Dons a step closer to relegation and hopefully in a few years out of the League altogether.

Top quality post and agree with all sentiments expressed here...I will give em some stick.....

As a SUFC fans sitting in home end ... I might jeer the MK players & hope they lose their forms so we can pick up 3pts.

I dare say 2,200 travelling Southend Fans, One of the best groups of fans in the league IMO, will make some noise and express exactly what we think of them...

I sure will

I'm sure we will vent our feelings on the Franchise accordingly....

Use of the word 'SCUM' always prompts me to post. If we were playing a bunch of terrorists who blow people up then you can say it but MKD are not scum. They never turned out in their thousands to support their team and Sam Hammam sold them down the river, but look at the faces of their fans tomorrow and you will not see scum.

It's the same with Col Ewe, local rivalry yes, but who knows any of their fans? Hardly anyone it seems. So where does the scum bit come from? What is it based on? We go years without playing them and have not lost in the four recent occassions and where is the evidence of scum? I just don't see it.

Top man, top post. Agree 100%.

Down with the Franchise.

Good points prodigal, and i agree about the use of the word scum.

The circumstances are entirely different, the club that was once proudly Wimbledon has been sold down the river mainly by their owners, but also by the Football League and Merton council. The league have sat on their hands and condoned the removal of Wimbledon from the league to be replaced by what is to all intents and purposes a franchise. A franchise i may add that still trades on the past glories of Wimbledon showing their 1988 cup win in their honurs list. When in fact MK have only been a "club" for two years. If this can happen there it can happen elsewhere, and the sooner MK drop through the trapdoor to the Conference the better in my opinion. That is why i will not travel to MK or put money into their hands.

Col******r are entirely different, and the fact that apart from Southend they are the only other league club in Essex, hence the rivalry. I would rather that rivalry be in the form of banter rather than silly name calling, and also that Southend keep beating them when ever we play them.

I agree, but the people we will encounter tomorrow are not the ones to blame, certainly not players and fans and I even met some old Wimbledon fans at the FA Cup game in December, and know somebody passionately involved with AFC Wimbledon who incidentally prefers going to Maldon rather than Old Trafford!

Col Ewe I kind of respect up to the point of we must always beat them and finish above them but they are a very small club surviving OK with money in the bank, and to go to that ground every game takes some doing. But I still don't know any of their fans!
I save my dislike for WHU, altogether much more visible, I could see them on the way home on Wednesday night up and down the C2C line and feel strongly enough to contribute to Brian Wheeler's coat. And from my experince , some very unpleasant supporters of a certain type.

The people in the home end tomorrow will be the ones pouring money into the club's coffers and vindicating their decision to move. They don't deserve to get a football league club in such a cheap manner, and I for one hope that in two seasons time they don't have one.

This shows how much MK care about the old Wimbledon fans. You have to have a MK postcode to be a supporter
Franchise w@nkers.

As one of the articulate types on this site you must be able to work out this is for segregation purposes and not aimed at old Wimbledon fans.

It's just trendy to dislike them and you all go along with it.

YEAH THEY SHOULD HAVE GONE BANKRUPT AND OUT OF EXISTENCE RATHER THAN ANNOY A FEW NOBODYS ON THIS SITE! YOUR ALL PATHETIC TO HATE THEM. THEY HAD NO FANS IN LONDON SO THEY WOULDA GONE BUST. BUT THE CLUB IS STILL AFLOAT NOW SO WHY DO U ALL CARE SO MUCH. JUST CONCERN YOURSELFS WITH OUR OWN CLUB. SOUTHEND UTD! COME ON YOU BLUE BOYS!
