Was slightly tongue in cheek :p If we get there it would be fantastic and I don't think we'd have too much trouble selling our allocation, but it would still not be as good as the first LDV final we made, which I rate as the best of the three Cardiff games, despite the result. The memories of the M4 being a tide of blue still brings a lump to my throat.

I'm firmly in the camp that says games = (potential) wins = confidence.

There was definitely something special about being in Cardiff that day. I think we'd have a shot at taking 10,000 extra to Wembley though.

Let's get to Wember-leeeee.
Show the world this time that Essex has indeed a special set of supporters,Saints fans wont forget us for a while.
Get us to the National Stadium so then we can all get dressed up in funny costumes and sing the Great Escape for a full-on half-hour.
Sod the result, let's all do the conga, let's all do the conga,la la la la,let off our tickertape and our balloons and also our beach balls and inflatable crocodiles.

Then when the day is over and we have won/lost the cup,we can all come home and say that today,i was PROUD to be a Shrimper.

This is why we need to get to the final and i say, everyone get your Dagenham ticket and help get us there.

Thought id post this here as its kinda relevant.

Johnstone's Paint TrophyJohnstone’s Paint Trophy
1st Round
Southend United v Dagenham & Redbridge FC
Tuesday 4th September 7.45pm
The Daggers, in conjunction with Southend United, has designated this game as a “Family Match”.
To encourage as many supporters as possible and especially family groups ALL kids will be admitted to Roots Hall on the night FREE and all others will pay just £5.00.

Im going to assume that this will go for home fans too. Good move by both clubs IMO. Should help to raise the attendance a bit.

This was being spoken about on Tuesday night, which I think is a great idea. Agree that it's a good move by both clubs, and hopefully will be reflected in the attendance.

Good luck to Daggers BTW apart from our cup tie of course, great to see you in the League, after missing out to cheating Boston and Evans a few years back.

It is a good move, bit strange to have an evening game as a family match especially as it's the kids first day back at school that day. But I will be taking my boy plus quite a few of his friends. The atmosphere will probably be better than the Cheltenham game.

Cheers! Its good to be up there with the 'big boys' so to speak. Some have described the end of last season as justice with D&R taking their rightful place in League 2 and Boston being demoted twice. But for some that bad taste will always be there and we even feel sorry for the fans that were not there during the time of cheating Evans.

What goes around comes around as they say :D

Indeed a supreme irony that you passed Boston on the way up. It's often the way that loyal fans suffer for the sins cheating gits like Evans.

this is the only cup we really have a chance of winning, why not give it a go, I'm up for a trip to Wembley :D

I'd rather see us in Europe next season and feel we should concentrate on the Carling Cup - we were pretty close last year
