First Friendly

My post could be a bit misleading as I generally just don't like home pre-season friendlies and try to avoid them all.

Love the away ones. Been to Hitchin(through an animal rights protest at the circus next door), Chesham, Witham, Chelmsford both grounds to name a few, love going to the non league grounds just not so keen on home friendlies.

With any luck, Sheffield United will let Wigan edge a win on sunday at Bramall Lane should Man U be a couple up over the hamsters.

I can't stand those claret and blue w***ers, I really want the cheating cockney scum to get the punishment they weasled out of meted out to them in the cruelest possible way! :guns:

Hell yeah !!!!!!! perhaps something like .....

... 88 minutes on the clock, Man Utd are winning 4-0, Wigans keeper launches a long ball down the middle and Paddy Kenny just watches the ball bounce over his head and into the net :D :D

Come on Mike, you can't honestly think the Tevez & Mascherano deal wasn't in the slightest bit dodgy? Typical Premier League cover up both on the initial punishment and with their heavy handed "thou shalt obey us" party-line to Wigan's threatened legal action.

No, I don't think that they deliberately cheated. I do think that they misjudged or misunderstood FA rules and regulation regarding third-party ownership but I don't think they did so with the intention to deceive.

With their alleged healthy bank balance post takeover, a £5.5m fine isn't going to hurt them that much. The PL bottled it big-time with this and should have hit WHUFC where it hurts, a lesser fine and 5 point deduction would have been a fairer punishment and also set a precedent to discourage dodgy 3rd party transfers in the future!
