First Friendly

Yeah great, all the bloody Spammers fans buying up tickets for places in the West, East and South - marvellous. May they forever rot in Hades.

Think I'll give this one a miss - there must be something more pressing like the grass needing to be cut or a spot of weeding. How about cleaning the bogs out with my tongue.

Bah will see how it goes although my hatred for West Ham is reaching new heights and I dont know if i'll be able to control myself :hilarious:

I hope your tongue is firmly in your cheek their PS......... ? ? ?

Regular followers of my posts know it most definitely is, can't stand them, dreading the infiltration, what odds that kick-off time is made earlier, 3pm not a smart move, don't think it is particularly clever of the club either, shame I get back from holiday the night before, will therefore put in an appearance, waiting for lots of ticket requests.

You've got date wrong, 28th July.

Segregation will be a challenge, great to be playing a real big club, everyone's second team right? Here's hoping they stay up.

when i went to the friendly a few years ago there were tons of hammers in the home ends.. some meatheads decided to shout out to flavs "how's your brother" and they rightly got a good kicking... from that moment the slight level of respect that i had for WHUFC (because i was born there) disappeared

I went when we got really caned the other year (ie ... not the 3-1 defeat) it was a last minute thing so i was on my tod, literally surrounded by their fans even though i was in the west stand :fury: it was one of the most unpleasant nights i've spent at RH ever :(
I know the club will just want to fill the ground, i understand this as money rules all these days, but you just know the same thing will occur this time around and we'll be overrun by the bastids ... for this fact alone i'll be giving this one a very wide berth

Gutted they've arranged one against them. Claret & Blue bubblers will be coming out of the woodwork all over the place. Sorry, I'd go if it was a meaningful game, but I'm not wasting money to see that ugly bunch otherwise.

That will be the problem with this one. All the Southend Spammers who dont usually bother to get up to watch them at Upton park, will be out in force in all stands most likely. Doubt I will go.

Be giving this one a miss. Having been to previous friendlies with the Spammers I hate being in RH with it full of other fans.

Not so now .... years ago maybe I would agree with you. here.. Southends support has doubled in last few years and roots hall only holds 11.500... its a massive game in south east essex and us Southend fans WILL be moving fast when the Tickets go on sell .....

lets be honest here its Great news ..... its going to be a sellout and WILL help us financially big time.. well done Sir Steve tilson here :-)

Amazing, on the same day a friendly is arranged against our nearest Premiership (possibly) club, people are already giving reasons for not going. We only need 6,500 of our fans to show up (and half of that amount were at Southampton on sunday) to have the majority of supporters in the ground. Yes, i know some people will be on holiday but the simple way to ensure the vast majority of the East, South and West stands have Blues fans in them is to get your tickets within several days of them becoming available, which will be well advertised in advance on the os.
In years gone by when we played them in friendlies, we did not have the fan base which has grown during the last 3 years, with many people wearing their club shirts, T-shirts, Polo shirts etc throughout the local areas which never used to happen then. Blimey, from reading some of the comments on here it will only be a matter of time before some fans start saying they wont be wearing their club colours for this game because we will be in the minority.
Bet your life the kick off is switched to mid-day as well.
