Saw Spike Leigh's Malcolm X again on BBC 2 in the earty hours .Dull but worthy.

A Film Noir that was well worth seeing.

Isle of Dogs, Odeon were showing it at the weekend so finally got to see it. Love Wes Anderson and this didn’t disappoint

Going back to 1951----It was well worth seeing.

2 stand out films from the out and back flights (alongside forgotten dross).

Bring Them Down probably the best know star outside of Ireland being Colm Meaney. Excellent thriller about 2 feuding Irish shepherd farming neighbour families. Definitely an 8/10.

Meaney also has a prominent role in the Neeson headed cast of In the Land of Saints and Sinners. Liam plays a contract killer in the Irish Backwaters and gets intertwined with IRA members laying low after a bombing. Not necessarily a LN fan but I really enjoyed this movie. Just the right pace, believable plot and at least an 8 but I’m going to put this down as an 8.5.
