Just a quick rant: I put a message and a link to the Shrimpers Trust on the NWR intranet and got messages of support and pledges of attending games from York City, Bournemouth and Rotherham fans, while the Man Utd and Liverpool "fans" just gave abuse and said it's "time to die".

They're not real fans though MK. Real football fans (including a Col U fan i met yesterday and an Orient fan the other day) want us to fail through ineptitude on the pitch but not in the way we currently are.

The past 2 weeks have been a real eye opener for me, loads of messages of support from all divisions, except of course the premiership. From local rivals to Carlisle, all send best wishes and support, even 2 Orient fans and 1 Col U fan who have actually donated to the cause, clearly the majority of premiershop supporters are not true supporters of football. UTB IN TILLY & BRUSH WE TRUST.

The Premiership supporters aren't interested and while they shouldn't be, it's kind've laughable at how pathetic they are. They can't really say that we should "die" as they are loaded with debt so in effect, if the bank asked for their money back, they'd be up **** creek without a paddle.

Yes most of them are pretty awful! but i will say on the 606 a Man City fan has made a nice comment about the club and fans and wished us well. Shame he can't get some of there millions to help us out.

I am sure this thread title evades the Zone swear fillter but in-light of the position our club finds itself in at the moment we shall only ban MK for 2 months. All those in favour say Aye!

I remember getting a 24 hr ban for evading the swearfilter... no consistency these days! (i propose MK being banned for just 1 month)

Im not surprised by the so called manu and liverpool fans giving abuse they are probably people who have never been to a game in their lives and the only time they have ever heard of Southend United is when we had a cheek to beat the mighty manu and cause them humilation for a few days from their friends.

I have been heartened by not only the 606 (amongst many others) message boards, but also the reponse from the people of our town. I work for a large company in Southend and I've had a large number of people, many of which I've never really spoken to before, approach me with questions and concerns about the club. Some have no real football allegiance, others are Premiership 'fans.' It's good to know the town cares for the club

Having parked up near the Harry earlier with my poster in the car window, I endured a group of 5 or 6 little oiks talking very loudly, knowing I was behind them about how "s*** Southend were" and how you can go and see Arsenal playing one touch football and then compare that to Southend. Yeah, great, they'll never understand the passion of supporting your local team, but I bet they cheered when we held Chelsea and beat Man U.

While collecting on friday evening. I had Peterbro,Forest and many Gill's fans stop and wish us well while donating, also a guy from German came back and put a second donation in when he found out how bad things were ! Then at work today in Romford i had a few idiot wet sham fans who knew i am a Southend fan, laughing at our plight.
