FC Week 5

Lost the toss at home and bowled them out for 36. Rested quite a few from this but as star bowler is sublime and won't play again until two weeks today he played and took 5-9 in 12 overs with six of those runs in his opening over.

Currently 398 for 2 and can afford to bat all day tomorrow though I'm guessing my weaker batting line up may not make it beyond around 700. Could do with 60K so will throw some token batsmen in as bowlers and leave out prime attack. That's the theory - must remember to set orders.

Bowled out for the first time this season in FC, just shows how tired my batsmen are. Fortunately my bowlers are all pretty fresh.

Last Wicket: Goodman Run Out 17 (FOW: 621/4)

42 overs left in the day. Hopefully they'll make it through.

Edit - Bugger. Gibbons is 56k wage, and has lasted about 10 balls in the match.

0.3 W Singh to Gibbons
Gibbons has edged the ball to Evelyn and the umpire's given it!
0.2 3 Singh to Alsop
Full and just outside the off stump. Alsop carves it past cover point. Oconnor gives chase and just manages to stop the ball before it reaches the rope.
0.1 W Singh to Lonergan
The bowler and the crowd go wild, while Lonergan hangs his head in shame as the umpire raises his finger to a clear LBW.
0.1 wd Singh to Lonergan
And that's a great take by first slip. It's just a shame Lonergan couldn't get bat on it.

The players are off the field for the change of innings.

Mrs BB won by an inns and loads.

I won by an innings and 126 runs, after they got 120 in the 2nd innings. The wickets were all spread about amongst the team, with Raven, Jackman, Guy, Johnson and Hitchman chipping in. A noteable mention to Deane on taking his first ever wicket for the team!

A nice days rest for tommorrow now too. Sookram wasn't selected for today's U19 game ... which should mean he will be fit enough for Friday!

:)
