FC - week 14

Happy with today, usual story with the lesser lights falling early then the middle order battling back. We have one foot in Level II...

Away game but thinking of stretching it to 3 days to avoid the boredom at work. Bowled them out for 61 and racked up about 260-2 by close. A max point dull as dishwater FC season almost done.

I'm losing patience with Hudson. He made a quickfire 33 today before getting out. Someone persuade me how good he is before I click the sell button, it's getting very tempting even if he's been one of my best batsman for seasons.

30. Percy Hudson (380185) shortcut

LH Batsman, LFM Bowler, competent batting form, competent bowling form, sublime fitness.
An attacking player with woeful leadership skills and proficient experience.

Plays For: Southend
Nationality: England
Age: 24 Years Old
Battrick Rating: 37,356 (-328)
Wages: £14,491 p/w
Stamina: respectable Wicket Keeping: feeble
Batting: wonderful Concentration: quality
Bowling: abysmal Consistency: respectable
Fielding: respectable

He'd get 7-8million I'm sure, which would do nicely. He's not earning his wage!

Has he been stuck in bad form all season? Competent is not great. He's obviously stuck in a rut, have you tried him consistently everywhere from 1-6? Took me a while to figure out that Curtis can seemingly only play at 5.

BTW, anyone who wants to play my reserves in a friendly feel free to challenge.

That's the thing, he's done great as an opener in the past, but this season hasn't performed. He has been stuck in bad form all season, yeah, but has still struggled for runs. Davenport hasn't been in good form but still averages 110 in OD! Have tried Hudson lower down in the FC games, to no avail. Could always use Rennie at the top of the order next season (quality/wonderful) and put Hudson down to 5. May try that.

Challenged for Sunday by the way. Would anyone fancy a full-strength friendly next week? Preferably a team in II, III or a strong IV side.

finished 75-6 at the close, 19 short of avoiding the follow-on. their seam attack is too good for V, so not surprised. mailed the manager yesterday though and he's agreed not to enforce it, batting out today in the hope of getting me a 3rd days income. which was nice.

Oppo did the decent thing and declared, just need to makre sure it goes to 3 days now

Declared after an over this morning, eventually on 639-5. The oppo are 3 wickets down and i have set them to follow on, so it might not last the 3 days, which will be a bit of a school boy error!
