FC Week 14!

The General

The Mouse (*)
I face the league leaders and with survival assured i rest Lamb, Browne, Tapp, Raven, Titterton, Jackman & Guy! I won the toss so hopefully they will bat the day out and then i will get at least 2 days gate reciepts from the game!

End of Over 19 (11 runs). Cricket Geniuses: 139-0, runrate=7.32
Hitchman 8-0-62-0
Blakeman* 60 (52 balls)
Allardyce 72 (63 balls)

Happy Chrimbo all!

Kev

All or nothing here, considerably more runs than last time against them!!

Sajjad* 52 (109 balls)

Last Wicket: Cook c. Flower b. Jagielka 62 (FOW: 117/2)

Ouch. Didn't check the pitch, and ended up electing to bat on a green wickets on a cloudy and humid day against a very good attack. All out 45.

Check out Nick's FC league!

Team P W L D T Bat Bowl Points
1. barnetti 13 9 2 2 0 43 37 214
2. Park Avenue CC 13 9 3 1 0 47 36 213
3. Whos your Daddy 13 9 3 1 0 49 33 212
4. Truncator 13 9 2 2 0 42 34 210

barnetti playing Truncator but looks like Park Avenue will win with max points which will scupper his chances.

End of Over 43 (4 runs). Cricket Geniuses: 271-0, runrate=6.30
Tomlinson 11-0-61-0
Allardyce* 134 (135 balls)
Blakeman 122 (127 balls)

Apparently he has a weak bowling line up but i only have 5 batters playing, couple of cack YP's and 4 out and out average bowlers!

Great patient batting from Saj (he got a pair in this fixture last time I think!). Shame I left the declaration in.

End of Over 45 (2 runs). ShrimperZone CC: 179-2, runrate=3.98
Skuse 4-0-17-0

Thompson 13-0-81-0
Allardyce* 258 (231 balls)

Over £100K in gate figures. Got over £200K last Friday and the coffers are swelling nicely! At home this Friday too!

End of Over 92 (9 runs). Cricket Geniuses: 556-0, runrate=6.04
Tomlinson 19-1-115-0
Blakeman* 240 (292 balls)

End of Over 18 (5 runs). General Stars: 70-0, runrate=3.89
Trail by 486 runs. (Cricket Geniuses 556-0 dec)
Mitchell 9-3-27-0
Stanton* 22 (57 balls)
Bayliss 40 (53 balls)

Not a bad day in the end. Hopefully another 100K tomorrow and should be a good week in finance corner!

Twas all going so well - them batting first on their flat pitch and 211-6. Can't seem to break the seventh wicket partnership though. They closed at 298-6. If I can break it and get them out for less than 350 I fancy myself to bang runs in at quite a rate tomorrow. Probably set for a draw but we shall she.

Have oppo 111-6, chasing my 405ao. Quite a pleasing start as they are the 2nd best team and I've rested a couple of players..

B****** Leon Clarke wide.

Not sure if I'll be able to bowl them out twice, as I'll have fitness issues.

Just about forced the follow on and barring disaster the minimum we should get is a draw which will be enough to see us promoted as we got more bonus points:

End of Over 25 (7 runs). Potato Heads: 60-0, runrate=2.40 (1st Inn: 202-10)
Trail by 103 runs. (ShrimperZone CC 365-2 dec)
Mushtaq 6-0-21-0
Tselane* 19 (78 balls)
Flower 40 (72 balls)

I enforced the follow-on and picked up one of their better batters, but expect a long time in the field to get rid of the rest of them.

If I got my maths right, I got promoted last week (might have even been the week before).

Fortunately no fc play-offs and it is a straight promotion.

After my 45 played their 149, Granville scored a brilliant 179 not out in our second innings to help set them 208 to win. They're 17-0, and I hope we restrict them tonight and get favourable weather tomorrow to get the win.

End of Over 118 (1 runs). General Stars: 414-9, runrate=3.51
Trail by 142 runs. (Cricket Geniuses 556-0 dec)
Canham 32-3-98-3
Akram* 1 (20 balls)
Tomlinson 0 (4 balls)

Last Wicket: Thompson Run Out 0 (FOW: 413/9)

Surviving!

You've avoided the follow-on and should therefore be able to close out a draw.

A quick double from Hot Rod means the win is now on:

End of Over 34 (3 runs). Potato Heads: 89-2, runrate=2.62 (1st Inn: 202-10)
Trail by 74 runs. (ShrimperZone CC 365-2 dec)
Horrigan 7-1-19-2
Sura* 5 (9 balls)
Lovers 7 (6 balls)

Last Wicket: Tselane c. Askew b. Horrigan 27 (FOW: 80/2)

Took me too long too dismiss them today - finally all out for 370. I closed around 317 for 2. Have set batsman to attacking and declaration at 600. Set a couple of the bowlers to attack as well but realistically this is a draw.

Won't be needing BB's assistance tomorrow cos some tosspot bid 10million for the bloke I was after. Bugger :(

Opposition also ended 53-0, so won't win that either. C'est la vie.
