FC Week 12

Crawled our way to 353, and have got the 1st one out.

End of Over 11 (1 runs). Hungryasthesea: 24-1, runrate=2.18 (1st Inn: 217-10)
Trail by 112 runs. (BATTY SHRIMPERS 353-10)
Singh lali 6-1-14-1
Maccallum* 12 (29 balls)
Kesterton 0 (4 balls)

Last Wicket: Huckerby c. Nagendranath b. Singh lali 10 (FOW: 23/1)

Won by an innings and 177 runs in the end. Everyone will be super fit for Friday too and might even get a few of the good un's a game on Sunday!

:)

Another £100k netted, too boot!

Job done - max points 2 days - roll on next season for proper games. Opps 200 and 42 me 400 for 2

about 10 runs from defeat going into the 3rd day. really poor showing from the bats, too many players got starts but didn't convert into 50s.

Oppo 187 runs ahead, 6 2nd innings wickets to get.

Going to be a tough ask to win but we'll see what happens.

End of Over 27 (1 runs). Hungryasthesea: 75-2, runrate=2.78 (1st Inn: 217-10)
Trail by 61 runs. (BATTY SHRIMPERS 353-10)
Prasad 4-1-4-0
Livesey* 5 (17 balls)
Kesterton 32 (50 balls)

Kesterton in the runs again, so it will be a question chipping away at the other end. Des and The Skip have been set to bowl 1 + 2, hopefully they won't lose too much PFL in bowling them out.

5 down, but looks as though we will have to bat again to win the match

End of Over 45 (5 runs). Hungryasthesea: 118-5, runrate=2.62 (1st Inn: 217-10)
Trail by 18 runs. (BATTY SHRIMPERS 353-10)
Singh lali 11-2-33-1
Kesterton* 57 (100 balls)
Remaketse 14 (22 balls)

Last Wicket: White lbw b. Oconnor 0 (FOW: 99/5)

Have picked up 4 wickets in the last 4 overs but at 316 ahead too little too late i fear. Still I'll be pretty chuffed with a draw.

Won't be long now

End of Over 60 (Maiden). Hungryasthesea: 157-9, runrate=2.62 (1st Inn: 217-10)
Lead by 21 runs. (BATTY SHRIMPERS 353-10)
Oconnor 17-7-31-3
Remaketse* 31 (54 balls)
Beckford 0 (0 balls)

Last Wicket: Pace c & b. Oconnor 0 (FOW: 157/9)

End of Over 6 (5 runs). Beyond Heresy: 20-0, runrate=3.33 (1st Inn: 324-10)
Trail by 316 runs. (Big Dog Sloggers 306-10 & 354-10)
Wilkinson 3-0-16-0
Peel* 5 (19 balls)
Jarvis 14 (17 balls)

Bowled 41 overs this morning so 70-odd left in the day.

Edit:
End of Over 10 (Maiden). Beyond Heresy: 29-2, runrate=2.90 (1st Inn: 324-10)
Trail by 307 runs. (Big Dog Sloggers 306-10 & 354-10)
Wilkinson 5-1-21-1
Jarvis* 15 (23 balls)
Mabuso 0 (5 balls)

Last Wicket: Cronin c. Padayachie b. Wilkinson 1 (FOW: 29/2)

Not the start i'd hoped for :(

Plummer's final ODI stats:

Career 12 11 56 0 5.09 64.37 26 0 0 0 0

Bowling O M R W Ave SR Econ Best 5wi

Excellent effort! Windies managed to lose all but one of their games due to (IMO) exceptionally poor management.

The players are off the field for tea.

End of Over 28 (1 runs). Beyond Heresy: 86-3, runrate=3.07 (1st Inn: 324-10)
Trail by 250 runs. (Big Dog Sloggers 306-10 & 354-10)
Wilkinson 14-1-57-1
Swayne* 16 (30 balls)
Jarvis 32 (93 balls)

Last Wicket: Mabuso lbw b. Mckinley 12 (FOW: 48/3)

Have to survive a final nervy session.

End of Over 35 (4 runs). Beyond Heresy: 115-5, runrate=3.29 (1st Inn: 324-10)
Trail by 221 runs. (Big Dog Sloggers 306-10 & 354-10)
Elmes 3-0-13-1
Spencer* 12 (11 balls)
Daniel 0 (0 balls)

Last Wicket: Jarvis c. Africa b. Elmes 42 (FOW: 115/5)

Oh dear Jarvis gone, last of the batsmen in know....

End of Over 42 (6 runs). Beyond Heresy: 139-7, runrate=3.31 (1st Inn: 324-10)
Trail by 197 runs. (Big Dog Sloggers 306-10 & 354-10)
Wren 6-0-24-1
Mcdonald* 0 (1 balls)
Spencer 26 (40 balls)

Last Wicket: Lazarus c. Mapes b. Elmes 0 (FOW: 133/7)

Two wickets in one over effectively puts paid to my chances of batting the day out :(

Unbelievable. 139 all out.

Load of crap, and 2-3 bowlers' PFL is now invigorated for tomorrow.

Unbelievable, a game I expected to lose against the team in 1st place, has seen me win by 9 wickets. Although I am still unsure that I will be able overtake him for the top spot as he has very easy fixtures left.

Texas Rangers Southend
Top Order: proficient remarkable
Middle Order: competent proficient
Lower Order: abysmal worthless
Seam Bowling: respectable respectable
Spin Bowling: competent quality
Fielding: competent woeful

Wow. Jesus christ. They won by 311 runs. Ever seen such a heavy defeat in the favour of such a weaker side?

nope... maybe fielding is more important than we give it credit for, huh?

Won by an innings. Although sadly couldn't restrict it to 2 days.

Means I'm top:

Old Chelmsfordians 12 9 1 2 0 52 34 220

24 points clear with one easy game and one I should win.

Promotion to level III all but there!

Sadly I've paid a high price in my one day league. In 6th place in league IV.35. Am fielding a much improved team in the last games though to hopefully improve morale and allow me to win the inevitable play off.
