Thought I'd avoid the follow on when I was trailing by 153 runs with 5 wickets still in hand, but it appears not.

Made it to 316-5, will just carry on batting and let Hartburn bowl the rest of the day out along with a couple of batsmen. If I have to bat again then that's fine as my top order guys are all pretty fit. Almost tempted to declare to force the follow on!!

In an ideal world, Inter Lancs will beat (or least get a draw) against Lower Standards whilst i max out againsts R.I.F and then we can see where we stand before matchday 10!

Currently at 181 for 5 a lead of 251. They are capable of much more than 161in their second innings but I need to make sure I leave enough time to bowl them out. A draw is no good.

Have upped batting to attacking and asked for another 70 runs. They could skittle me out quickly enough though Mckie is still there on 78 no to add to first innings ton.

Either way if I win this I will win the title if I draw then I've dropped the defecit to 6 points but I won't close that gap in the remaining matches.

Not much work will be done tomorrow :p
