FC - Match 7

MrB

Life President
Should have looked at the weather. They are at full strength and are fitter than us after our weekend GFI.

Welcome to Garon Park for the match between ShrimperZone CC and Murphys Sweaty Box.

We can tell you that ShrimperZone CC won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking quite cracked! A field day for the seam bowlers I would reckon on this sunny day.

End of Over 13 (5 runs). Murphys Sweaty Box: 46-0, runrate=3.54
Sutherland 7-2-28-0
Gilbert* 28 (50 balls)
Heads 18 (28 balls)

Have got their best batsmen in, both earning £60k/w

End of Over 17 (2 runs). senor bocas XI: 42-3, runrate=2.47
Gichki 2-0-7-0
Whyte* 18 (37 balls)
Settle 17 (34 balls)
Last Wicket: Wylde Run Out 0 (FOW: 18/3)

Away to the side in 3rd place. Everyone's Sublime, so we have a full-strength side out. Should win this within 2 days.

Bink & Bowl v BATTY SHRIMPERS

We can tell you that Bink & Bowl won the toss and elected to bat. The pitch is looking a little uneven. Should be tough for the batsmen on this partially cloudy and humid day.

End of Over 25 (3 runs). Bink & Bowl: 31-5, runrate=1.24
Singh 5-2-7-2
Faulkner* 4 (25 balls)
Werner 2 (2 balls)

Last Wicket: Keegan c. Evelyn b. Singh 21 (FOW: 29/5)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mrs BB in 2nd, at home to the bottom team. She'll win easily, as she's also at full-strength.

DIBS DIPPERS v Band of Bowlers

We can tell you that DIBS DIPPERS won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking quite cracked! A field day for the seam bowlers I would reckon on this sunny day.

End of Over 26 (1 runs). Band of Bowlers: 36-5, runrate=1.38
Ballard 6-2-7-0
Bennett* 10 (40 balls)
Watson 18 (69 balls)

Last Wicket: Wigg b. Eagles 6 (FOW: 13/5)

Toiling. Looks like a draw is the most likely result which wouldn't be a disaster for me other than the fitness drain. Didn't realise how good this team was as they threw the game last time out. Worst player in the team is 35k BTR, no weak links.

End of Over 27 (2 runs). Murphys Sweaty Box: 88-0, runrate=3.26
Marriott 3-0-5-0
Gilbert* 54 (99 balls)
Heads 32 (63 balls)

End of Over 30 (1 runs). senor bocas XI: 76-10, runrate=2.53
Walker 11-3-24-4
Levy* 2 (10 balls)
29.5 W Walker to Thorp
Walker will be bragging of that effort for years to come. Thorp's middle stump just plain exploded. Poof! There'll be a slight delay between batsmen to put out those ashes.

Can't remember the last time we let a team bat for more than a day!

End of Over 60 (1 runs). Murphys Sweaty Box: 173-2, runrate=2.88
Marriott 11-0-30-0
Maccallum* 20 (51 balls)
Ludlam 4 (18 balls)

Last Wicket: Gilbert c. Marriott b. Schofield 92 (FOW: 161/2)

EDIT:

Ok, making progress now.

60.1 W Sutherland to Maccallum
The ball shapes back in, ricochets off an inside edge and onto middle stump. Maccallum eyes his bat suspiciously as he trudges from the field.

Just about to post that we were being held up by the tail, checked back and we've finished them off. 8 catches for Evelyn. Not bad for someone that can't field....;)

Bink & Bowl v BATTY SHRIMPERS

Bink & Bowl won the toss and elected to bat.
Pitch: Green

End of Over 62 (1 runs). Bink & Bowl: 108-10, runrate=1.74
Schoeman 13-6-16-3
Angelo* 25 (63 balls)

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Mrs BB well on course for her expected victory.

DIBS DIPPERS v Band of Bowlers

DIBS DIPPERS won the toss and elected to field.
Pitch: Green

End of Over 14 (5 runs). DIBS DIPPERS: 52-0, runrate=3.71
Trail by 21 runs. (Band of Bowlers 73-10)
Sagren 7-0-32-0
Stride* 23 (44 balls)
Potter 27 (40 balls)

All very pleasant so far......

The players are off the field for the change of innings.

End of Over 63 (9 runs). The Flying Scotsmen: 366-3, runrate=5.81
Kwok 14-0-57-0
Eyles* 65 (54 balls)
Tekere 169 (188 balls)

Last Wicket: Rowson c. Kwok b. Coletta 30 (FOW: 263/3)

Nice opening spell from Gaskin, the fast bowler signed only yesterday:

End of Over 5 (Maiden). Little Driffield CC: 3-4, runrate=0.60
Trail by 363 runs. (The Flying Scotsmen 366-3 dec)
Gaskin 3-1-3-3
Preedy* 0 (3 balls)
Antoine 0 (1 balls)

Last Wicket: Pa c. Salmon b. Gaskin 1 (FOW: 3/4)

After a mediocre first two sessions, Suthers has destroyed their middle order.

End of Over 77 (Maiden). Murphys Sweaty Box: 213-10, runrate=2.77
Sutherland 21-6-64-6
Khuliso* 0 (10 balls)

They were 173-2.

At home against the mob in second and not a bad outfit. Bowling is better than their batting. Win this and the title is mine. Pretty much at full strength.

End of Over 52 (Maiden). Kaohsiung Hearts: 115-10, runrate=2.21
Cook 7-5-5-5

Good little session from Cooky!

Im 42-1 in response. Lost Bayliss early doors.

Kev

Decent start.

End of Over 14 (7 runs). ShrimperZone CC: 78-1, runrate=5.57
Trail by 135 runs. (Murphys Sweaty Box 213-10)
King 7-0-50-1
Marriott* 2 (2 balls)
Cunningham 44 (41 balls)

Last Wicket: Sandile b. King 32 (FOW: 65/1)

Good over

End of Over 62 (8 runs). Southend United: 227-2, runrate=3.66
Lead by 151 runs. (senor bocas XI 76-10)
Wylde 6-0-46-0
Marcel* 101 (151 balls)
Wright 52 (65 balls)
Last Wicket: Hoult lbw b. Thorp 55 (FOW: 133/2)
61.6 . Wylde to Wright
Wright was in three minds about that bouncer from Wylde: he came forward, then ducked, and finally swayed out of the way of the ball as it fizzed past his nose.
61.5 . Wylde to Wright
Forward, pushed back to the ground, mid wicket fielding.
61.4 . Wylde to Wright
No run, attempts the pull and misses.
61.3 4 Wylde to Wright
A great shot from Wright there. A full-blooded cover drive that races away to the boundary.
And that's his fifty! Well played.
61.2 3 Wylde to Marcel
Marcel hooks the bouncer over his shoulder, high and dangerous. Denham gets himself in a tangle beneath the swirling ball, and good communication between the batsmen lets them safely run three.
And that's a century for Marcel! Well played indeed Sir!
61.1 1 Wylde to Wright
Wright pushes a quick single to Levy at mid on and as he runs towards the stumps at the bowler's end, he collides with Wylde and the two crash over in a heap! No chance of a run out though, as he is safely home.

Happy with the pace these two are ticking along at.

End of Over 23 (6 runs). ShrimperZone CC: 134-1, runrate=5.83
Trail by 79 runs. (Murphys Sweaty Box 213-10)
Kirkland 3-0-20-0
Cunningham* 62 (60 balls)
Marriott 40 (37 balls)

Last Wicket: Sandile b. King 32 (FOW: 65/1)

All gone to plan here. All rounder and #1 bowler and batsman all rested. Full batting points for the loss of four wickets. They are nine down at the close with -#2 spinner taking 5 for 9 in 13 with 6 off 1 ball. To aid matters my title rival is struggling. He hasn't thrown the game by his opps are 399-3. They usually declare at 450 but rival is going to have to go some to win from here. If they fail to do so promotion is as good as mine.

Im also batting well, reaching 177-1 at the close. Will bat to 365 and will get into them tomorrow afternoon at some point.

Kev

31 behind, 8 wickets in hand. Richie is still in and is still at sublime so hopefully he will bat for as long as he can as Lamo and both yoofs are on invigorated so can't see them lasting too long at 5, 6 and 7.

Making tough work of getting to 360, don't really want this to go to a 3rd day.

Bink & Bowl v BATTY SHRIMPERS

Bink & Bowl won the toss and elected to bat.
Pitch: Green

End of Over 58 (4 runs). BATTY SHRIMPERS: 132-4, runrate=2.28
Lead by 24 runs. (Bink & Bowl 108-10)
Ross 22-2-59-0
Middleton* 20 (43 balls)
Downing 42 (139 balls)

Last Wicket: Ricketts b. Fray 29 (FOW: 106/4)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mrs BB should have this wrapped up by tea-time.

DIBS DIPPERS v Band of Bowlers

DIBS DIPPERS won the toss and elected to field.
Pitch: Green

End of Over 74 (1 runs). DIBS DIPPERS: 335-3, runrate=4.53
Lead by 262 runs. (Band of Bowlers 73-10)
Worthington 10-0-37-0
Stride* 172 (222 balls)
Morgan 0 (9 balls)

Last Wicket: Bird c. Kesterton b. Sagren 7 (FOW: 317/3)

Ticking along nicely, Richie continuing to be aggressive. However, I have a sneaking suspicion I didn't set a declaration so will be hoping to lose a wicket or two once we reach 300!

End of Over 46 (4 runs). ShrimperZone CC: 244-2, runrate=5.30
Lead by 31 runs. (Murphys Sweaty Box 213-10)
Mcgregor 16-0-65-0
Plummer* 36 (54 balls)
Cunningham 126 (130 balls)

Last Wicket: Marriott c. Vermaak b. Khuliso 46 (FOW: 159/2)
