FC Match 5

I ended 191-5, with a lead of 54. Good bowling conditions again tomorrow, so Ill declare at 200 and try skittle them again. I will struggle to 200 anyway tomorrow, and their best bowler comes on 4th (took 4fer today) and so it's best to just get amongst the wickets tomorrow and knock off whatever runs, and therefore end it in 2 days.

Not the best day we've ever had :(

Declared on 371-4 with 3 overs left and survived those last 3 overs.

Good bowling conditions tomorrow and Thursday so hoping i've set a nice target to win the game from!

Kev

361-4 from 98, they're 39-1 in reply but the weather has worsened so hoping to knock them over reasonably cheaply.

They've picked up 4 wickets in batting conditions

Joost 0 (12 balls)
Last Wicket: Corry c. Fear b. Bowen 0 (FOW: 125/7)

Finally removed the annoying filler who opened, their batting gets stronger as they go down but they have nothing past 7 so another couple before lunch will give us a good chance of enforcing the follow on.

59.4 W Webber to Cahill
Cahill went for the pull shot, but got the top edge. Both the keeper and the fielder went for it but it ended up in Bullard's gloves.

Suthers did the business, removed the remaining batsmen and finished with a nice 5fer. They're back in, nothing yet but I'm just glad we didn't waste time batting again today.

Semple 8-0-32-0
Waterhouse* 16 (29 balls)
Browne 2 (9 balls)

Last Wicket: Sookram b. Cowan 17 (FOW: 33/2)

Was hoping for much better today - on a cracked wicket and seaming conditions - but it wasn't to be and eventually got them all out!! Weather gets even worse tomorrow so will look to batt till im about 300 ahead - which should give me around 65/70 overs to bowl them out and hope they dont get the runs!

Kev

Good day, they are 48 behind with three wickets left so will set my fittest bowlers to hopefully polish the tail off. Then should hopefully be pretty fit for a GFI against the league leaders on Friday.

Pleasingly quick today.

End of Over 56 (Maiden). highton : 121-10, runrate=2.16 (1st Inn: 197-10)
Trail by 43 runs. (ShrimperZone CC 361-4 dec)
Sutherland 13-5-20-2
Bradley* 2 (12 balls)

55.6 W Sutherland to Monk
Monk got himself into a right mess there, attempting to crouch underneath one that pitched on a full length! The ball thumps into his front leg, and a slightly embarrassed looking umpire raises the finger.
55.5 W Sutherland to Reeves
Reeves is going to have to live with that one being replayed over and over again. Disastrous running!
55.4 . Sutherland to Reeves
Full outside off stump, coming back in late, safely shoulders arms and leaves it alone. Through to Lamey.
55.3 W Sutherland to Thandiwe
Hit high into the air, Sinethemba fumbled but caught the ball at the second attempt.

Hopefully break this partnership soon and go on to win this vital game which would be my first FC win of the season. A win here would see me leap above my opposition and out of the bottom 2.

Lead by 3 runs. (The Flying Scotsmen 518-8 dec)
Gaskin 12-1-57-1
Tito* 101 (128 balls)
Tienie 4 (4 balls)

End of Over 1 (Maiden). Caton CC: 0-1, runrate=0.00 (1st Inn: 241-10)
Trail by 324 runs. (General Stars 371-4 dec & 194-2 dec)
Johnson 1-1-0-1
Burns* 0 (0 balls)
Mavuso 0 (4 balls)

Last Wicket: Hutchison c. Sookram b. Johnson 0 (FOW: 0/1)

Got the 130 runs in under 30 overs so gives me at least 80 overs to bowl them out. The two in now got about 80% of the runs in the first innings so removing these 2 sharp-ish will deem whether i win, draw, or lose!!
