FC - Match 3

Going into a third day due to my rather pedestrian 4.1 runs an over I scored today compared to the 7.1 runs an over I was making last night meaning there just wasn't enough time to bowl them out. Three wickets left to take.

End of Over 49 (Maiden, 3b). Uganda Kobs XI: 145-7, runrate=2.96 (1st Inn: 194-10)
Trail by 115 runs. (The Flying Scotsmen 454-0 dec)
Coutts 14-4-39-1
Swain* 1 (9 balls)
Hobbs 4 (11 balls)

Last Wicket: Lepolesa Run Out 9 (FOW: 141/7)

ShrimperZone CC won by an innings and 147 runs.

ShrimperZone CC Poloc CC
Top Order: remarkable exceptional
Middle Order: remarkable superb
Lower Order: mediocre abysmal
Seam Bowling: masterful quality
Spin Bowling: elite useless
Fielding: respectable feeble

Very pleased to have skittled that top order twice in a row.

13 successive wins, interested to see how long I can keep that going.

Made heavier weather on the second day. I didn't add a great deal to overnight score missing out on a third batting point. They then scored over 200 leaving me 27 to win and 3 wickets lost to achieve it.

Had a very good look at chances of promotion and I am very optimistic. Before playing my rival in back to back FC games I have 20/20s and two FC games against teams that have amassed a combined total of 10 points in 3 games. Apart from one OD full strength game I can rest an rotate to get them all at sublime. Oppo already has players at fresh and lively suggesting he isn't tactically the best and to cap it all he also plays on dusty. I have three spinners including my all rounder plus a fourth unproven spinner plus by exceptional seamer also fares well on dusty.

End of Over 8 (Maiden, 1lb). Mid-Cup Barmies: 33-1, runrate=4.13 (1st Inn: 116-10)
Trail by 246 runs. (General Stars 190-10 & 205-10)
Johnson 4-1-10-1
Mclean* 8 (15 balls)
Edrick 14 (21 balls)

Last Wicket: Brinkhuys lbw b. Johnson 8 (FOW: 16/1)

Got a slightly better total of 205 in my 2nd innings and have set them a target of 279, of which they have already got 33 of. Need to make inroads early doors tomorrow morning with Jackman/Guy opening, followed by Johnson/Cook. Certainly giving me a tougher match than expected, but still hoeful of a win!

Declared at overnight total of 393, setting them a nominal target of 515 to win. We've picked up an early wicket, which is handy as I don't really want Del-Boy and Brucie to have to do much bowling.

Pentland v BATTY SHRIMPERS

Pentland won the toss and elected to field.
Pitch: Flat

End of Over 3 (1 runs). Pentland: 9-1, runrate=3.00 (1st Inn: 243-10)
Trail by 505 runs. (BATTY SHRIMPERS 364-4 dec & 393-5 dec)
Singh 2-0-6-0
Maccallum* 4 (4 balls)
Varney 0 (5 balls)

Last Wicket: Chiwira c. Schoeman b. Lockett 5 (FOW: 5/1)

General Stars won by 218 runs.

General Stars won the toss and elected to bat.
Reporter's Summary General Stars Mid-Cup Barmies

Well that was over fairly quick. Jackman and Guy did excellently early doors, Jackman eventually bowling 15 overs, with 13 maidens!

£275,000 in the bank in total, which will hopefully rise once i get the full fans/sponsors confidence higher!

Excellent performance today, should ensure a bumper crowd tomorrow in my expanded 42,500 stadium.

And that's the end of the match. BATTY SHRIMPERS won by 443 runs.

End of Over 51 (Maiden). Pentland: 71-10, runrate=1.39 (1st Inn: 243-10)

Lockett 9-2-19-2
Alder* 3 (38 balls)
Last Wicket: Whitmarsh c. Evelyn b. Lockett 1 (FOW: 71/10)

Pentland BATTY SHRIMPERS
Top Order: exceptional exquisite
Middle Order: respectable quality
Lower Order: abysmal worthless
