FC - Match 3

BILLERICAY BLUE

Rose Tinted Brigade Member⭐⭐🦐
Away to the side in 2nd. I'm at full-strength although we have 3 at Energetic, so we've gone in with 6 bowlers to try and save some PFL on a Flat pitch. These are probably the 2nd best side in the league, so a win here will probably wrap up the division as I'm already 20 points clear. Weather is PC+H, so could do with winning the toss.

As is standard in my FC matches they are a pretty good side but not quite as good as me. Hoping to keep my max points start to the season going.

Anyone else's page layouts gone a bit crap?

They've gone full strength,m was hoping they might rest some in anticipation of defeat. We've manipulated our batting line up to try to rest Lamo and Richie, though I imagine they'll still be needed.

End of Over 4 (5 runs). ShrimperZone CC: 16-0, runrate=4.00
Carbon 2-0-6-0
Shearer* 11 (14 balls)
Sandile 1 (10 balls)

Very welcome receipts though:

10/03/2009 Played a match and received £318,594 in gate receipts.

Means we made a minor profit this week, though I then spent £140k improving the stadium to 50,000.

Try hitting F5 B.

Lost the toss unfortuantely, just have to rack up 360 asap, and have a go at them tonight.

Pentland v BATTY SHRIMPERS

We can tell you that Pentland won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking like a road. As flat as a pancake. No help for the bowlers on this partially cloudy and humid day.

End of Over 5 (1 runs). BATTY SHRIMPERS: 13-0, runrate=2.60
Soares 3-1-2-0
Evelyn* 6 (14 balls)
Pollock 7 (16 balls)

DIBS DIPPERS v Mighty White Rose

We can tell you that Mighty White Rose won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking quite cracked! A field day for the seam bowlers I would reckon on this partially cloudy and humid day.

End of Over 5 (2 runs). DIBS DIPPERS: 12-0, runrate=2.40
Baines 3-1-8-0
Potter* 10 (19 balls)
Stride 2 (11 balls)

Playing probably my main rivals at home, won the toss and put them into bat, ony playing 4 bowlers but Gichki is there if needed. They have a monster batter in Jimmy Alnwick.

End of Over 8 (Maiden). Rodbourne Green: 12-1, runrate=1.50
Hulse 4-2-5-0
Alnwick* 9 (21 balls)
Crainey 3 (25 balls)
Last Wicket: Benjamin b. Walker 0 (FOW: 0/1)

Played a match and received £274,044 in gate receipts.

8.3 W Walker to Alnwick
The ball struck Alnwick in line and after a moment to consider where the ball pitched, the umpire raised the finger. Out!

My homepage is fine now the old browser files have been deleted.

Im playing a half-decent side and im not at full strength.

End of Over 9 (1 runs). General Stars: 26-3, runrate=2.89
Loxton 5-1-14-1
Browne* 2 (10 balls)
Sookram 21 (22 balls)

Last Wicket: Bayliss lbw b. Tebello 1 (FOW: 14/3)

Lost Cook, Bayliss and Lamb all rather early. Oops. £230k into the coffers.

Apparently I'm the 10th most supported team in the whole game!

I'm up against Bovis.

I wonder if I'll get to bat against his change bowlers?

I've done better than expected so far and am 9-1 after 14 overs.

Not exactly entertaining but no wickets lost.

End of Over 18 (1 runs). ShrimperZone CC: 32-0, runrate=1.78
Carbon 9-1-16-0
Sandile* 15 (48 balls)
Shearer 12 (61 balls)

Bit better.

End of Over 19 (8 runs). Napster's XI: 56-3, runrate=2.95
Sheepy 1-0-8-0
Mapes* 18 (30 balls)
Prag 28 (54 balls)

Last Wicket: Allan b. Payne 2 (FOW: 22/3)

Shearers out, however my batting gets better as it goes along!

End of Over 25 (3 runs). ShrimperZone CC: 55-1, runrate=2.20
Muir 4-0-13-1
Marriott* 19 (26 balls)
Sandile 17 (64 balls)

Last Wicket: Shearer c. Flitney b. Muir 12 (FOW: 33/1)

Another wicket down. Run rate slowly increasing though.

End of Over 31 (3 runs). ShrimperZone CC: 77-2, runrate=2.48
Muir 7-0-20-1
Marriott* 29 (41 balls)
Plummer 6 (8 balls)

Last Wicket: Sandile c. Flitney b. Jones 21 (FOW: 68/2)

Lost more wickets than anticipated on a Flat Pitch, going well RR wise though.

Pentland v BATTY SHRIMPERS

Pentland won the toss and elected to field.
Pitch: Flat

End of Over 32 (4 runs). BATTY SHRIMPERS: 139-3, runrate=4.34
Padmakumara 5-0-19-1
Evelyn* 60 (85 balls)
Downing 4 (5 balls)

Last Wicket: Ricketts lbw b. Padmakumara 17 (FOW: 135/3)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mrs BB going well in tricky conditions, although she is up against a headless bowler ;)

DIBS DIPPERS v Mighty White Rose

Mighty White Rose won the toss and elected to field.
Pitch: Green

End of Over 33 (6 runs). DIBS DIPPERS: 142-0, runrate=4.30
Farrow 6-0-29-0
Potter* 79 (120 balls)
Stride 60 (80 balls)

Mario is upping the pace now.

End of Over 34 (12 runs). ShrimperZone CC: 99-2, runrate=2.91
Jones 8-0-40-1
Plummer* 10 (14 balls)
Marriott 47 (53 balls)

Last Wicket: Sandile c. Flitney b. Jones 21 (FOW: 68/2)

33.6 4 Jones to Marriott
What a beautiful cover drive by Marriott. Bullock didn't even bother chasing after that one.
33.5 . Jones to Marriott
Turned to leg, but no run on offer there.
33.4 4 Jones to Marriott
Short outside off stump. Marriott pounces like a cat and hammers it between point and extra cover, beautifully timed.
33.3 4 Jones to Marriott
The batsmen meet in the middle and bang gloves together. A poor ball put away confidently.

Boring, no more wickets.

The players are off the field for lunch.

End of Over 35 (2 runs). Rodbourne Green: 77-2, runrate=2.20
Walker 11-3-17-2
Ata* 43 (82 balls)
Crainey 21 (104 balls)
Last Wicket: Alnwick lbw b. Walker 9 (FOW: 12/2)

End of Over 36 (Maiden). Geoff_Boycotts_Grandmother XI: 60-4, runrate=1.67
Harvey 18-6-32-1
Finnan* 22 (42 balls)
Keigher 6 (34 balls)
Last Wicket: Holt c. Hazel b. Ranatunga 17 (FOW: 34/4)

The big question is still when will his change bowlers come on......
