Favourite Beatles song

Favourite Beatles song has to be Get Back as it's the last song on their final album, and thank the Lord that was it from them.

Their best songs were the ones written by George Harrison, Something and Here Comes The Sun. Can't stand anything written by Lennon or McCartney.

I've often found it odd when people say that sort of thing about The Beatles. Given how varied their output was, saying you don't like any music written by Lennon or McCartney is a bit like saying you don't like anyone called Stephen, or people who have blue cars. Is there really not anything in the L&M cannon that passes muster?

Massive generalisation I'd have thought, although each to their own of course....

I would think that there is absolutely nothing written by Lennon that I like, at all.

Maybe one or two McCartney songs just about scrape through the "it's not bad" monitor, like Let It Be and The Long and Winding Road, but in the main I just don't like it - particularly his Wings and solo stuff - that is grim in the extreme, for me anyway.

I bet you own a copy of The Frog Chorus.....
