His BBC interview was fair though to be honest. He gave us credit we deserved

Westley said "Over the course of 90 mins, Southend deserved the win. They've built on the team they reached the play-offs with last season by making some excellent signings. We made some basic mistakes"

I can't argue with any of that. He was honest with what he said and was a lot more gracious that managers.

He reckoned that the language being used and the attitude towards the officials was something to behold; I told him that if it happened in future he might consider making a complaint to a steward......:whistling:

Why doesn't he make a complaint to the FA? It's their officials he was abusing. I can't understand why referees and officials allow players and managers to speak to them like that. The FA should take action on his for his behaviour and also hold the officials to account as to why they didn't deal with it.

As soon as a player effed and jeffed at me as referee they'd be off, likewise their manager.

I remember him complaining a few seasons ago when one of their players was sent off at Roots Hall for basically a karate kick on Sean Clohessy. He's up there with Steve Evans as the most detestable managers in the country.
