Fan Advisory Board confirmed

So if i can get this correct we have overseeing things.

The Consortium with regular updates 12
The Shrimpers Trust 12
The Fan advisory board 8
The youth fan advisory board to come. ?
The Fan engagement forums loads
The fans groups Liason meetings. 10
The boxes around the ground to share your comments and thoughts
Dave Gracies good governance operation.

Seems to me we do not need anymore overseeing, it's getting a bit silly now or do we need a committee to oversee the others. 🙄

Worth remembering that a camel is a race horse designed by a committee

Having read through most of the posts. The intention was for the Interview Panel to consist of a COSU member who is not on the Board, Greg Marshall who is the Head of Supporter Engagement at Glasgow Rangers and a representative of the Football Supporters Association. My guess is that the make up of the Fan's Advisory Board quite possibly mirrors the one at Glasgow Rangers. The link of course is George Taylor who is a Director at Rangers and also a COSU member.
I am more than happy that the Advisory Board is now in place and I am sure it will work.

Greg had the thickest Glaswegian accent. The other guy was a Pompey supporter. Ian is a big Rangers fan as well.

During the interview I mentioned about engaging with the 18-30 group who aren’t really catered for. I hope the new youth group can do this.

The way it seems , nobody had any pre conceived ideas as to who would be successful and that can only be good. Will you give it another go at the next opportunity in 2 years time ?

Think it seems a great selection of knowledge / experience and love for the club. Whilst I’d love average geezers to be more represented, me rocking up and moaning that Mahers tactics are sh*t aren’t gona add much to the process. It’s a case of you need a certain skill set to do the role. Hopefully COSU know more than us being able to judge who has those skills.

The problem is, those who moan about the crap tactics aren't represented, remember covid when those who made the decisions all thought the same way, that didn't work...
We need a little boy who notices something wrong with the kings new clothes, hopefully COSU don't take meetings in the nude 🫣

All the folk selected are long term Blues supporters. On that basis why do you think they wouldn't moan about crap tactics when offering feedback to the club? Seems to me that as long termers they will have seen loads of dodgy tactics, but there job will be to offer views in a constructive way, rather than just moaning.

I don't doubt those selected are supporters. The issue is the fairly narrow range of background, gender, age etc which is not representative of support as a whole but clearly mirroring the composition of COSU. Safe choices less likely to rock the boat.

Sorry, but that is pure supposition. Maybe it would be a good idea to see how this operates and then base opinions on outcomes and results, after all, we've never had one of these, so there is no empirical evidence so far. Too radical for ShrimperZone?

Why?

We don’t even do that with players. Bim was wrote off by the vast majority because of his record. So why can’t we do the same for fans 😉

Imagine actually waiting to see how things pan out before slagging them off? What kind of crazy world would we live in if that happened?

Lady Penelope is the only female agent in Thunderbirds, a true reflection of the male to female ratio mentioned.

In all seriousness, this is a huge step for the club. This can only be a positive thing and as Cricko mentioned there are other fan groups also involved that can voice observations/converns/improvements etc.

There are already improvements that have been made to enhance fans experience at games. More will follow too.

It seems that quite a few of the 15 interviewees that didn't get selected are on here. What I will say to you is we know how passionate you are. We know how much the club means to you. Just because you're not on the 6 - don't sit in silence. Your voices carry a heck of a lot of weight and if something you believe in needs to happen then let it be known.

The zone carries alot of weight, with Kay passing on people's observations through her channels, with individual posters on here stating opinions - everything now is picked up and no stone left unturned.

This is still very early days but this is OUR club, the fans are and always will be part of it and thankfully not a rat in sight.

On a simple matter of semantics, questioning something is not 'slagging off'. It is always a sound principle in any matter not to blindly accept what is put in front of you. Obviously only time will tell but scepticism (not cynicism, note) is healthy. All of this is of course of minor importance compared to what happens on the pitch.

Football matters are not within the remit of the Fan's Advisory Board, this was clearly stated by the Club when the Advertisement was first placed.

seems to me this is like parliament , we have the House of Lords and the House of Commons and the one Cosu member who i take it is the speaker . and the supporters sit in the bleaches.

The tactics quote was just an example of the type of people. I hope some good comes out of it, hopefully some will question not just agree .
