Breaking News Facilities Update - North Bank (NWQ) X block now open

So we have opened X Block but to counter that tickets are no longer available in Q or S Blocks. So our capacity hasn't really been increased. Not that we will need extra capacity at the moment anyway.

Am I reading this right? Block X isn't in the North Bank?? We want the North Bank not just an added section for west stand that's already not creating the desired atmosphere! As people have said too many people in there not willing to join in songs etc

No.

As part of our phased approach to opening the Solopress North Bank for home supporters, we are pleased to announce that Block X of the Gilbert & Rose Stand will now open, starting with this Saturday’s game against Forest Green Rovers.

We’ve listened to your feedback, and we’ve acted. The aim is for our fans to return to the North Bank by the end of the year.

Supporters who have already purchased tickets for the Forest Green game and wish to move to Block X can do so by contacting the BTMK Box Office.

To progress this further, we will need to carry out some essential works to create a new access route for away fans via the North-East corner. These works are being undertaken in partnership with the police and the Safety Advisory Group (SAG), both of whom have been incredibly supportive of our plans.

As mentioned, our aim is to open the North Bank yellow seats for home fans on Boxing Day. By this time, we will have completed the necessary improvements to ensure the safe access and egress of away supporters.

Thank you for your continued support as we make these improvements to enhance the matchday experience.

Just seen there are no family stand tickets available in blocks Q and R all the ones that were available have been blanked out.
Seems a bit strange to do this in favour of 600 tickets in X Block which we have sold 9 so far.

Good spot. Block Q & R is no loss really as our family section is ridiculously large anyway. So I'd say that is a good move. Will mean more tickets sold in the South lower? The loss of seats in Block S is a shame though.

So it doesn't look like much capacity has been gained really. We have just shifted our "allowance" from one end of the West stand (Mainly the family section) to the other. Hopefully works can be carried out over the summer to enable the stadium to get back up to full capacity.

Blimey, they will love you on the FGR forum; they see this game as an easy 3 points just for turning up.
They should be confident.

They score goals for fun, have quality in every area, pace in abundance and are top of the league having battered a very good york side.

They are playing a team that has the pace of snail, can't score for toffee and generally appear clueless at the back, in the middle and up top.

Add in a fan base that is ready to turn on the team when the goals start flying in for them

So you’re saying there’s a chance?

Add to this, our best striker (former) currently sits on their bench and only gets 15-20 minutes per match.
