FA Cup 4th Round

I'd like to wipe the smiles off of the faces of some non league bunch of chancers and secure an easy passage into the 5th round.

In a radical step by the FA to put some romance back into the Cup they invite selected teams from around the world to enter at the 4th Round stage. As a result Southend get a plum away draw to Queensland Roar.

They also strike a sponsorship deal with British Airways as part of this innotiative and subsidise the travel for fans wanting to come over for the game. As a result four thousand Shrimpers make the journey over and take over Caxton Street near the ground for all day drinking before the match, which is an evening kick off to allow for the intense heat of the Brisbane summer. The Southend fans then continue partying and drinking in the sun as they take up their seats in the magnificent Suncorp Stadium, enjoying the rare opportunity to drink and watch the game at the same time.

The game that follows is a wonderful spectacle and advert for League One and the A-League, with a thrilling 4-4 scoreline with hat tricks from Lee Barnard for Southend and Charlie Miller for the Roar. A pulsating extra time follows where the teams still can't be seperated and penalties follow, taken right in front of the away end. Southend of course triumph and the players are showered with Aussie beer as they celebrate in front of the massed ranks of Shrimpers.

I can continue to dream, surely.....
