Brilliant result, should be a very positive week on here for a change.

It might have seemed like a blow at the time, but losing at Newport has done us the world of good. It's forced Brown to finally give Timlin a run in the side and we've a much better balanced midfield as a result.

The question is now what happens when Eastwood comes back as he doesn't fit into this system.

As we have found out in the last few seasons, you need strength in depth even in the 4th division if you are to challenge for a play-off place or even automatic promotion.

Put him (Eastwood) on the bench and when things are not going our way, bring on Eastwood and change the formation.

Funny how we are getting some luck atm, another deflected goal to add to strakers last week and hursts vs mansfiel
Plenty more of it please!

If you dont shoot you dont get deflected goals and all I can say is go for it if you get the chance if it gets deflected and wrong foots the keeper all the better.

Woodrow will score today. You heard it here first.

Actually Ive been out and read it on the BBC site first

Nice prediction though!

Only works when I do it :winking:

Great win, hopefully this will put a few more bums on seats for the York game.

Popped to the ground today to get 11 tickets and they struggled to fit us in the FE west, so must be selling a few.

Could go into top 3 with the next win so come just at the crest of the wave..

Have you seen how close it is between 1st and about 12th. We need to have a good next few games.

Normally our achilies heel! Teams that aren't doing well and we 'should' be beating normally end up shoving it to us.

Remember those 3 games at home in a week last year, all against teams in the bottom 6. We all expected 9 points or at worst 7, to take us back into the play-offs. We got 1 and never look like getting near the play-offs at all after that.

Timlin is bossing it right now....competition for places will do that. I still think our style of play means freddy would actually be better than corr in that role.

To be fair Timlin didn't take his chance when given previously but has been excellent since his return this time. Lots of competition now for places and Brown merits players on their performance unlike Sturrock who would have his favourites in when they were playing good or bad. He also seems to be getting a lot more of the same players who were not given much of a chance last season and giving them confidence. Great management.

I was having a good day until you reminded me of that

We are a very different side with a completely different ethos this season. I am moist at the prospect of watching SUFC this season. Hard working off the ball, effective passing style with the ball........mmmmmmm

We are running parallel to last year in terms of points. 26 points after we beat Torquay 4-1 last year and likewise today with a win over Exeter.

Brown will find it hard to keep up with Sturrocks tally from now until January as this time last year, we were well into "that run"

Do you not get the feeling we are gearing up for a real good spell.....I know we have had consistency issues but someone in this division has to start dominating......Could be us just on the strength of our midfield.
