Ex-Pats to Meet up before last game of the Season

Aberdeen Shrimper

Guest
Good Morning All,

I like many other Ex Pat Southend Supporters regularly frequent the “Spread Eagle” on Line, there is a great atmosphere in there and all be It there is nothing like being at the game, it is the next best thing. Having a bottle of beer, Blues World on and the “Spread Eagle” on Line on makes my afternoon complete. The Missus does not quite agree though.

What I thought would be nice is for as many of us to meet up for a beer before the game. I guess there is really only one place that we should meet up….. Is any one up for it?

My self and “Lowestoft Shrimper” (Steve) have already arranged to meet up but it would be great to put a face to all those usual suspects that frequent the “Spread Eagle” on Line.
Me and “Lowestoft Shrimper” are also going to hang St Georges Crosses with our names from on Line, IE “Lowestoft Shrimper” and “Aberdeen Shrimper.

You got your memebership sorted then, good lad!
As no doubt you've read elsewhere, it was a top awayday yesterday and a very well-earned point!

I certainly intend to be in the Spread on Sat 6 May with parents in tow!

Welcome to the SZ boards (finally!!!)

Firstly...welcome Dave, glad you're all sorted out

Secondly...try and get there early. The Spread was 'one in one out' by 2pm on Good Friday. I'm aiming to get there for 1pm at the latest.

Welcome aboard lads, glad you enjoy using my little chat app, I felt that to give the ex-pats that match day feeling what better way then with a picture of inside the hallowed Spread Eagle. Taking the pictures was quite an event but I am glad it paid off.

Exactly my sentiments US make sure you get there early, of course if the weather is fine then the garden my open up and if so I guess more people will be allowed in.

Thanks guys for your welcome comments.

And thank you Uxbridge and glasgowsufc for sorting it out for me.

I will be with err in doors, we are staying in the "pebbels" guest house on the sea front so will walk to the ground arond miday.

So are we all agreed that it will be Championship footy by 5pm on Saturday?

I will be in the Spread both this Saturday and for Brizzle City.
Definitely get there early. I was refused entry at 1.35pm on Friday, so went to the Blue Boar instead. Not half as good.

Would love to meet up, but will have both kids in tow, and no under 18's allowed in the spread, not even the garden..

Will probably have to give it a miss, c'est la vie.

Now you're talking! I will be driving overnight Friday 'cos I can't afford to take the kids out of school anymore this year, but I should be in Southend in plenty of time for a visit to that Fine Establishment. When does your Mirror Dingy dock?

I'll arrive at Gatwick on the Thursday eveing, if that's what you mean. We'll be going to the Fish House for an early one I reckon so we can get into The Spread on time (and hopefully before the Fish House becomes rammed as well).

The e-mail bounces, but the PM gets through to Mark.

Guys,

Due to the 18 year old restriction in the Spread is it going to be a meet up at the Fish House?
rock.gif
???

The Nelson takes under 18's and has the beer garden if thats any use? We all go in there, so you'd have to possibly bump nito me Wardy and BLUEBLOOD.
