Essex senior cup final - Who can explain?

Why were there no student prices? Why it is sometimes decided that concessions should just be OAP's? This really annoyed me on Tuesday, especially as I was sure I had seen student on the website to be £4. So, anyone know?

because it was mid week during term time so all students should be indoors completing their coursework or revising for forthcoming exams.

Southend United are fully aware of their responsibilities to the future of this nation and actively encourage the youth of today in their quest for a better education

Because students are adults, so should pay adult prices. Add it to your student loan, that you repay over 100 years at 0.1% interest.

Remember, it was an Essex FA match, neutral venue, not technically a SUFC home match.

Actually not term time for me :p

I had been spending all day doing coursewrok, so that I could cheer the mighty blues on for £4 in the evening.

**** me, it was only 8 quid!

Its the principle of why sometimes students are classed as concessions along with OAP's, and sometimes are not, that was the question I was actually asking. The amount was not really thie issue.

OAP's are also adults. My problem/question, was not that students were charged adult prices, it was to find out if anyone knows why the majority of the time students are classed as concessions, and these bizarre odd occasions, they are classed as adult prices, yet OAP's stay as concessions.

Try reading the actually point next time :finger:

OAP's arent on a reduced income through choice. Students are. :p

So basically rather than be annoyed at the price you are more upset as you didnt get to watch This Morning and Countdown whilst eating cold beans out of a tin ?

I love the way that so many people can miss the original point! :dim:

I think the answer about it being a neutral venue, not a home game, answers the question. It's not about the cost.....
