Essex Cricket 2023

Technically one for the Essex Cricket 2024 thread but we’ve announced (as expected) that we’ve signed Jordan Cox for next season.

Don’t know where exactly he’ll fit in (replacement for Rossington as keeper? Replacing Browne as opener? Replacing Lawrence in middle order) but he’s a talent.

You’ll remember him from T20 finals day a few years back when he was MoM. Also took a great catch on the boundary.

as a wicket-keeper?

Essex recovered from a very average start to bowl Notts out for 237.Notts lost 9 wickets for less than 70 runs.We got a decent chance now

At the game today at the halfway stage at 135-1 for one would have snatched your arm off for a target of 238.

At that stage or just beforemy mates £20 bet was cash out value of £1-80 now it is£33.50.

That Rymell decision was rough.

Essex in a spot of bother here. This is not a experienced batting order.

Big ask for Noah Thain (who has just been named in Eng u19 squad)

Watching this on Youtube. What a deadful start losing two quick wickets, Rymell seemed away with the fairies and what was Das thinking of?. Are Essex taking this competition seriously?
