Think Rishi Patel is a bit unlucky to miss out but the obvious man to miss out would be Alastair Cook and that would be a tough call to make.

FWIW I much prefer this Essex batting line-up with Walter and Coles in it. Walter's 22* off 7 on Sunday was just the fireworks we've been missing. We need that bit of X factor for white ball cricket.

At a lost for words Ricky Otto, to say stunned is an understatement

I do not think I will see another game like it, for the neutral great game to watch,but as a supporter very hard to take

From what I've seen we have no chance of getting in the top 3 and progressing and I can't see us challenging in the Championship either. Season is kind of dead until the t20 starts, I'm hoping that Delport and Zampa/Amir can give us that bit extra and we can compete. At least we have England and the world cup to look forward to
