Watched the game in a pub (o’malleys) with Mrs T in Menorca. Thought we played well, though we were hanging on near the end. Mrs T wants to sign them all up for the Blues.
Too many Malibu’s and cokes me thinks! Well done lads, a great win.

England were the better team by a country mile. They should have been out of sight by half time.

What really impressed me, however, was how they regained their composure after a sloppy 5 minutes where they lost their lead. That 5 minutes was the only time Germany looked dangerous, apart from the 2nd half of extra time, which is expected when a team throw the kitchen sink at you.

In the midst of this rather hot weather, there is always something really comforting in beating Germany in an International tournament. Watching the distraught faces of their supporters was especially nice. Childish I know, but there you go.

Indeed. Other countries lose and their fans look upset, but with Germans you can almost see the "how dare you beat us" look on theirs.

The German team, however, were very gracious, at least from what I saw.

Very good game, England particularly gifted set of youngsters. The v tall kraut striker is a prospect and some.
And the offiials went largely unnoticed and did well.
NB. England were "missing" a few stars off at Club Cup in USA too.

Got lucky with this one saw the first half live.Even at 2-1 up thought I could risk catching up with C4 News, only to find that the score was 2-2 when I switched back. This time I stayed with it until ET when we went 3-2 up. then I switched over for NY at Glasto.Glad the score stayed that way.

My wife told me i went to bed at 01.30...she said "you were drunk again and fell asleep downstairs"
I said YES...she knows i am a sad bloke, but i didnt want to confirm it again

My wife knows im a sad git...but i do my best not to let her know how sad..CHAMPIONS OF EUROPE
