Had enough of my current job..

So, any of you business tycoon's on here got a position, or know of a position that needs filling?...

Preferably an Office job involving Excel, Access, Pivot Tables, Queries, Macro's, Data Analysis (my forte) etc, but most lines of work considered...

Southend, Essex/London areas considered...

Mate, there's always plenty of office jobs in Network Rail to do with work planning, safety etc. Have a look at www.networkrail.com.... not much Southend way but there's offices in Shenfield and Romford, and of course loads in London if you fancy commuting.

Why not think who you would like to work for in your field of expertise, as in the company, and visit their website. Most probably have details on careers, job vacancies and an address (email or post) to send them your CV.

You might just get lucky. Right place, right time and all that.

Its how I got my job......nearly 22 years later....still here!

Try this. We spend all day sorting out users who can't use a macro, excel, pivot tables etc, so I know there are jobs that use it!!!

The actual work I'm involved in is fine mate, it's the people around me I cannot stand...

Plus, there is no scope for moving up within the company, and the money is pants.

I hate driving to Chelmsford everyday, it's costing me £150pm in fuel....my fault for driving a Honda Civic Type R granted..

It's probably only a matter of time before one of the agencies turns up trumps...I don't know if RBS over by Tescos are looking for your expertese in the data field....or maybe FDR in Basildon, Vodafone are always looking for people to....Just keep plugging away mate ...something will happen that of I'm sure.

A certain "unpopular" member of this board has already enquired about a position at RBS to no avail unfortunately...

I'll keep looking, I have to simple as that really, I have a family to support and my current job isn't allowing me to do that anywhere near the level I want and need too..

If a position is not currently available then its best to send your CV into RBS, for example, anyway. You might be at the front of the queue when one does come available!

There are usually jobs in Southend RBS although the money isnt great but then I guess it depends what you are used to.
