You would think that both the official site and Echo are covered by copyright - so neither could copy the other, unless there was a specific agreement. That doesn't appear to be the case looking at this thread...

It often happens in the media when several outlets get their stories from the same place - the Press Association newswire. Quite why Dave and Chris would need to resort to that with their connections in and around the club I'm not sure

One thing is certain though, Chris and Dave didnt BOTH write the same article word for word, so either someone is copying or both are copying a generally available newswire...

Why don't you ladies just learn to share? Maybe one could write it one day and the other the next?

Or maybe just buy the Southend United "Brodie's Notes" and copy out the standard essay at the back. It will be the one about how we have "a number of transfer targets" and the headline will be "Tilson Eyes New Faces." Just re-hash it 40 or 50 times during the season and Robert's your father's brother, it's all sorted.

I've heard that if you purchase this, you get the "Tilson Excuse Book"... Full of all your favourite excuses, Including such originals as "At the end of the day, it just didn't work for the boys out there today", "We just didn't get the rub of green" and, of course, "We never really got going".

The comments were in jest and we have responded in jest....suffice to say - it's all in jest. Short of Timothy Claypole turning up I think we can rest assured this a jest-based situation.
